I wish they would've kept Chaos, and as a bonus get rid of all three point challenges (or just stop giving out basketballs as prizes at any game).

I personally feel that the basketballs should be deflated and given as prizes that way.

I was thinking they would should give winners a coupon and they take it to a prize redemption center or gift shop up near the front of the park so they can get them on the way out.
While I'm not a fan of the basketballs being dribbled around the park, any of the above would probably result in lost revenue. Annoying as they may be, those dribbling basketballs are a great advertisement. Deflated balls or tickets? Not so much.
As Kevinj aptly points out, those 3-point challenge games make an awful lot of money, some of which goes toward new attractions. You have to take the bad with the good.

Do they even give basketballs away at the Three Point Challenge games? I recall watching people play and most winners got some kind of plush toy. I think upper level prizes were a jersey and an iPad or Galaxy Tablet. I think the basketball prizes were from a different game and I don't recall as many, if any, basketballs bouncing around the park last year.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I'd be curious as to how much they make as compared to the guessing game or any other game for that matter. I don't pay attention to the games so I do not have a point of reference as to what an "awful lot of money" is.
Basketballs are absolutely a prize at Three Point Challenge games. The games employees always go back to the shed and blow the balls up whenever I would be on my break.
DJ, I thought the same thing at first, but then I remembered Kings Island gives the basketballs out deflated. Or at least they used to.

Considering the real estate they devote to them (roughly, what, 4+ times that of the guessing game?), it's a safe bet they make considerably more than the guessing game.
Anecdotally, I have seen the guessing game being played maybe once in the last 2 seasons. Meanwhile, I've literally spent a half hour during every visit watching person after person pony up to play the 3-point challenge in FT.

I agree. Definitely if they are going through the trouble of adding another one then they are probably money makers. I personally dont play them. Not much on basketball. Im a Hockey person, and I like your avator dj, they are my second favorite team :)
Agree with you and I'm hoping the one by Ocean Motion is in fact the one that was moved over by Valravn. If the park did in fact do that and additionally ever decides to git rid of the Lotsapalooza gift shop over there it would free up a nice little chunk of land between Pink's and Ocean Motion for future use.
At least there will be room in/on the BS midway since its approximately the size of a small parking lot. Now the Valravn/Marina midway is a different story. Looks like you would be lucky to squeeze in 2 people side by side in the narrower parts. Hopefully it's bigger in person
