Funniest/most memorable coaster moments

This summer was my first ride on the maverick. My dad and I were staying at Hotel Breakers and got in early, you know that first hour where only a couple of rides are running. Anyway, we go to Maverick, and we get on the train. It goes forward to before the hill and stops. We stay there for about 25 minutes strapped in our seats while the mechanics go replace some part. Ugh.

Either that, or riding Top Thrill for the first time. That ride is like nothing else (well except Kingda Ka...haha)

Undomesticated equines could not remove me.

First Time on Dragster, with my mom who was a first timer as well, and my uncle, a hardened veteran. My first time conquering Millie(same day as dragster) and first time on the front seat on Mille were awesome as well

MY cousin "flashing" the camera on Diamondback (He's a guy) And the lady refusing to sell us the picture because it could be offensive :P

My correction, I ment Halloweekends 06. Got my dates mixed up.

I remember that October of 06: on a dark cold Sunday evening we had a rain delay on Dragster, and then...a rollback! We cheered all the way back down, and just made it over on the relaunch.

Yes the temperatures in October 06 were in the single digits....Celsius!

I just remember being in Fright Zone and looking up at one of the lights and realizing there were snow flakes falling in front of it. That was pretty insane. However, I was still drenched in sweat with only a t-shirt on under my costume. :)

This summer I was on Raptor and we had just rolled into the station. As the floor was riding I heard the woman next to me say "Well, that was fun... but I think I like roller coasters more."

Amusing to hear, and I decided it wasn't worth it to correct her...

Direct Injection and Turbos.. Seriously, see if you can dig up the power graph on the new Taurus and check out how it the torque and horsepower go straight up. I've never seen anything like it and the power it puts out while maintaining the efficiency of a V6 (4cyl in some cases) is pretty amazing as well.

Sorry this is off topic, I agree with the above but it is nothing new, just new to Ford and they are hyping it as new automotive technology, which it is not. I have "Ecoboost" in my 2006 VW, direct injection with a turbo. The 2.0 liter four puts out over 200hp and still gets over 30mpg on the highway. I'm glad though that Ford is modernizing their engine lineup.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I change my first one.

3 years ago I had Mono. Not fun at all. I was probably asleep for 18 hours of every day for a month and a half. I lost 45 pounds and a lot of people thought I was really going to die. (I felt like I was gonna die thats for sure) Anyways after over a month and a half, I was well enough to be awake for most of the day. I started going back to school for 1/2 days, but was pointless because I was switching schools and being held back a grade anyways. My mom woke me up the Tuesday after Cp's opening day. She said get ready, but you aren't going to school. I asked if we were going back to the hospital to do more blood work. (I had to do blood work 3 times a week) She said no we are going to CP. She felt really bad for me and wanted to make me happy.

What a great suprise! There was nobody there. 3 minute waits for everything. Rode TTD 8 times that day. The most memorable of the day was when we got on Magnum right before lunch. As soon as we started going up the lift it started pouring! Thunder and lightning came out of nowhere! So as we were riding the rain kept hitting us. It hurt so bad, but it was kinda funny. We laughed in pain the whole ride. After the ride we were of course soaked. We went to TGI Fridays for lunch. (My favorite) she also got me a sweatshirt because it was FREEZING!

Anyways, that ride will always stick in my mind as the best. After we thought I was going to die i spent a great day with my mother at my favorite place. It really made me happy, and its my most treasured quality time with my mom. I will remember it forever.

Wow that is a lot of typing! ;)

Let's Get Weird.

I've got lots and lots of great memories there, and a lot of funny ones. This past year I went with a couple of college friends. I had just come back from a trip to San Antonio and had 2 'nacho libre' masks with me that I'd bought at the Mercado. One of the guys and I got two horses next to each other on Cedar Downs, pulled the masks on after the rided started, and began stage fighting every time our horses would pass each other. The ride op kept trying to scold us but was laughing too hard.

Let's Get Weird.

Thay need a spell check for rudeness!!!!!!!!!

To give (Your mom is to fat to ride TTD); he was not being rude, he was stating the obvious. Spell-checking and basic punctuations are not hard to use.

On to my most memorable moment.

It actually occurred this past Wednesday as I was part of coasting for kids and was able to ride the Gemini 100 times. Never trully was able to marathin a coaster without having to get off it for that extreme period of time. It was a awesome time and extreme kudos and huge thanks to the higher ups at Cedar Point for letting this happen.

Well Excuse me that my grammar and punctuation is not of the collage caliber such as yourselves. You all are just so perfect and I'm just trash cause i have a problem with punctuation sometimes.

I think there's a big difference between having a problem with punctuation and using 40 exclamation marks every 3 words. Again, not a personal attack, no need to take it to heart or get defensive, just pointing out the guidelines of the forum so that you don't encounter problems with people a lot less pleasant in the future.

I had a similar experience at Michigan's Adventure but it was infuriating. My boyfriend and I were on the Shivering Timbers and we kissed for the camera flash. Not a gross make-out tongue kiss or anything...just a peck. We got off the ride to go get our picture, when the picture lady told us the same thing. We couldn't buy our photo because it was offensive. I stood there for a minute and asked her how it could be offensive. As this was going on another rider from our train walks up to the photo booth, that rider had flipped the camera off and was able to not only see their photo but BUY it. I made a complaint about that one. WTF?!

Just noticed this. I, again, never said it was new. But "ecoboost" puts out better power numbers with less loss in the fuel economy than VW or GM's Ecotec 2.0 in the Cobalt SS (260 amazing horses, fun motor) GTDI. The percentages are pretty amazing.

The TDi line from Volkswagon is nothing short of wonderful. But the German Company is too busy trying to triple their sales and start the 4th reich obtaining a higher percantage of ownership of Porsche to update this outdated engine line. I really wish they would focus on their cars again.
