Freeway Stamps-1 per day-Fair or Unfair?

They changed the freeway passes again? I thought you got your hand stamped for a particular time block for that one ride (Say From 12pm-1pm, If you got a stamp you could ride as many times as possible in that hour) I remember this from last year when I was only allowed to use freeway for that ride once? I mean its new policy I assume this rule will change in midstream again.
When I received the waterproof white stamp for MF in July (for a 8-9pm ride), it stayed on all day since I was at Soak City for 6 hours. Never had a problem with the regular ink stamps smudging or fading out except when I used some Purell hand sanitizer, took it completely off! Beware!!!

I would have to say that the Freeway system at CP is fair. I guess no matter what method they have, there will always be some people who don't like it and find fault with it. Can't please all the people all of the time!

I love CP's freeway system. At first it really scared me, becasue i didn't want it to end up like Disney's. Disney's is the worst, they give out way to many for that hour. The people with the "fastpass" got first debs, and if there was ever a gap in that line, thats when they let the stand by line go in. So basically the stand by line did just that, stood there and didnt move at all.

And that was my biggest fear, that the regular line would just not move. But i have to give it to the people at CP, they have done a great job with the number of stamps they give out in an hour. The regular line isnt held up at all. Where at Disney your luck y to move an inch in the stand by line.

So yes CP's system is very fair and works wonders, for both tthe people in the Freeway line and in the regular line.

I have to disagree about Disney. My wife & I were just there 4 months ago on our honeymoon (Sept 2002). Maybe it was because the parks weren't busy that time of year. We got fastpass for a few things, especially at Magic Kingdom. Everytime we got fastpass, we noticed that they do let people from the regular line go too. They alternated between regular line & fastpass line. That was our experience with it & I think they do a great job with it.

If Cedar Point has ink that won't smudge or come off your hand as the day goes on, then, I think it is a good system. That system would work for me. I just don't think it's fair to limit it to 1 per day, but, with a stamp being used, I guess there's no other way to do it.

When I was at Halloweekends last year standing in the 'normal' line for Millie, some guy walked up to the FreeWay stamping booth with a booklet that he got stamped. Is this an alternative method to getting the stamp on your hand??

Just curious.

That is the Special Access Booklet. It is for people that are Handicap or have a problem with standing in line. They dont get right to the front of the line though, they do wait. Read more about it here!

I see, 99er, thanks a lot for answering that.

When I saw him get his booklet stamped, I just took for granted that was how the FreeWay thing worked... until I got on this forum and read that they do the hand stamping.

Doesn't make any difference to me... like I said, I was just curious what it was about.

Thanks,
