I have another question. Do you actually get to interact with the other people that you work with, or are dishwashers usually alone during their entire shift? Thanks.

Probably during the slowtimes. Usually when it's busy everyone is doing something. Again it depends on the location you work at. I don't think you'll be by yourself though. If it's not what you were looking for, you can always ask for a transfer. I would ask Sam to give you a run down of what it's like.

Hello! So I have been reviewed by Samantha Charles and Ashley Karp, for food services, Bartending. I have not received any e-mails or phone calls regarding any interviews. :-/ So my question is, how long should I wait to get contacted, and where would I potentially be working at as a bartender? Have any of you been hired as a bartender before in CP?

Generally I say wait 2 weeks from when your app was submitted. Then call or email.
You will be working either at Red Garter Saloon, Last Chance Saloon, or Hurricane Hannah's. If you are over 21 you may be working at Bubbles Swim up Bar in Soak City.
I was a supervisor but bar-tended at least twice a week.

Wow!! Thanks for the Info! I am 21. So, any advice on the interview for bartending?
Be Yourself
Smile (even if the interview is on the phone, they can tell)
Show interest in the job
Don't worry about the interview, they realize you will be nervous and so they make it short and easy. They will ask questions like: What would you do in this situation, Tell me about a time when you experienced great customer service, etc.

Hey All,
This is my first summer working at Cedar Point. I've been hired by Shannon for Kiddieland Refreshments. Is there anyone here who works in the same place I am or knows someone who does? I believe I'll be doing cashier work, but I won't know for sure until I process in on May 16. Any advice about the work would be greatly appreciated. So excited to meet new people and make some great friends. See you all in the summer!

You can bring your own plain white shoes or buy some from wardrobe. You should get more information later on.

Could you tell me how they train people for food service? I know you have to take classes and pass a test before you can work (done on your processing in day I think?), but does someone actually walk you through the work so you know what to do? Since it's my first year, I want to make sure I know what I'm doing. I figure if I know how to do my job right, I'll have a better summer. I'm a little nervous, so any advice is welcomed.

Well, usually you process in and move into housing and that's it.
Then the next thing you do is company training, housing training, and another training class but I forgot the name. After that, usually the next day, you have food service training. Food service training goes over our department policies and food safety.
After you've completed all those classes you will report to work. The supervisor at your location will train you on location specific thing. They will also go more in-depth into other things covered in classes.
You will be trained and if you don't feel like you are prepared enough, let the unit supervisor, area supervisor, or Shannon know so that they can help you.
You will also have mock service, which is basically, you set-up and run the location as if the park were open.
