I didn't realize there was a second storm on Saturday. There was the first one (that knocked out power and lots of trees) and then I thought it just rained the rest of the night.
The rain on Sunday did suck though.

After the storm on Saturday afternoon it cleared up just in time for ERT (which was supposed to be on MF, but got moved to Maverick). When we got to the ride, the radar was showing another cell moving towards Sandusky, but they wanted to get as much ERT in as they could. This was exactly how Friday night went as well. In both cases they knew rain was coming, so they tried to get as many riders through as possible. Both times it only lasted about 30 minutes before the rain hit. And both times, I (and the others with me) got soaked. But at least on Friday night several of us bought snazzy CP umbrellas in the Maverick Gift Shop to make it bearable. Saturday night, we had nothing.

My first Mavrick ride. It was memorial day and I had gotten to the park at 8:00 am for the 9:00 am joe cool ride time. As soon as the Soak City entrance rope dropped I ran all the way to the turnstyles and met my brother there (he was an employee at the time). I was exausted and out of breath but it was a great ride made even better by the free t-shirt and fleece jacket.
A few weeks later my brother suprised me with the on ride photo from that ride. He remembered the number and when back later in the day and got it for me! Little brothers are good for something sometimes!

My fondest moment would have to be when I went on Sun Sept 9 and the park was completly dead. Every line was a walk on except for Maverick and TTD those lines were about 15-20 min. The best part was that MF's line was a walk on we rode it 5 times in about 20 min. Im guesing it was so dead because that Sun was the start of football season.
It was also bonus weekend (usually dead) and rainy. I think those had more to do with it than the fact that football season was starting. Remember, Detroit and Cleveland (CP's 2 biggest markets) have had less than stellar football teams for the better part of the last eternity.

So many memories...
Red Cross Maverick first ride getting stuck in the tunnel when the tunnel had mist spraying on you. (Also, getting fired for calling off work to go to this event...yep, that was me.)
Lets not forget the rest of the shenanigans during Coastermania and so forth. I might have to write a season trip(s) report for the rest.
Terror Island Screamster 08', 09', 10', 11'
That first maverick ride...what a rush!
But my fondest memory is the look and excitement on my 4 year old face for his first ride on Iron Dragon. That is now his roller coaster.... :)
^^^Yeah, that was one of my favorite memories too. Riding with you and you finally got to put your hands up! :)

There are an awful lot of people in the market who fit my family demographics and would enjoy their trip to the park a lot more if they didn't have to be split up all day.
Right on Chief. I had to talk my husband & youngest into going the this weekend by saying we wouldn't split up. Right now I can't even convince him to get season passes for next year because he doesn't feel it's a good family place for us to go. We all split up to enjoy the park. Not many rides we can experience together, so he is thinking we should go a different route next year. :(
Favorite memory: first ride on Dragster. AWESOME!!!

Peace Love Hope
Went three times this summer, once in June, once in July, and once in Spetember. And my fondest memory was riding Maverick for the first and just getting to go to CP 3 times this summer. I usually only go like twice. Maybe next summer I will get a season pass!!
I would say when I went in May and saw the Red Garter show. Then I became a fangirl for the summer show and the Monsters Rock show for this year. I can't wait until next year.
'04-'12:CP/Platinum Season Passholder
When me and mom skipped school in May and went. 8 rides on TTD in 15 Minutes! Nuthin better than that..... Well if I got a rollback too but I didnt. :)

^ Nothing like riding roller coasters with your mom! Actually, it's kind of funny. When I worked at CP, my mom came down to visit and we rode coasters together. It was the only time I've heard my mom swear.
I'm too sexy for my harness!
It's hard to say for me, I had so many, but would name a few:
opening day almost getting a rollback on TTD
riding maverick on memorial day and getting a first rider T-shirt
hearing that my friend got a TTD rollback on sept. 28
taking my boyfriend to his first halloweekends
getting stuck on magnum's hill on father's day
riding mavvy at night
doing "dead wait" for TTD and getting the last train of the night on it
doing joe cool for raptor with my friend and being the first two guests of the day to ride. (we were the only 2 people on our train too!)
Gosh my favorite 2007 CP memory?
My favorite would have to be my first ever ride on Maverick. Me and my girl friend at the time were first at the blue rails before the park opend to the public. We RAN as fast as we could to maverick. We got to the line only to find we only had to wait 15 min for my first ride ever!
And my other favorite would have to me while leaving the station on magnum some one had un done there seat belt and a ride op spoted it and screamed HOLD!!! but it was already to late the front of the train had reached the small hill before the turn. They stoped the train half way up the lift. while we sat in a beautiful 72 degrees blue sky. with a slight breez of the lake. That was cool...
Other then that every time i visit Cedar Point i make more!!!
See ya next Year Cedar Point
ill be there opening day 9am for ERT!!!
