First Coaster?

Mine was the Big Dipper at Camden Park in my hometown. Blazer99, I know what you mean. I didn't cry, but it took my mother bribing me with a dollar to get on. Consequently, I rode the Racer every year I went after that, but even after three years, I was still terrified to ride. Then, when the Beast opened, I wouldn't go near it. Don't really know why honestly. You can't really see much from the que line. Must have been the name. And now, there isn't one that I wouldn't ride.
My first ride was called the Der Flitzer at Adventureland but we called it the Mountain Ride.

First coaster at CP was Wicked Twister last year.

I remember going on one at Boblo Island very similar to the Blue Streak, a nice classic wooden out and back. I never did get up the nerve to go on Nightmare (I think that was it) though the whole inside in the dark thing just freaked me out.
My first CP rides were probably Dragon or Disaster Transport (with the naked chick in the Athens poster). This would have been 90 or 91. I remember waiting FOREVER for Disaster Transport, but all the themeing was so cool it was worth the wait, now its just plain stupid. I mean great ride and all, but the theming and attemted special effects just suck balls.
Anyway, Iron Dragon still provides a great ride even in its 17th year.

Thunderhawk at geauga lake but i think i use to be called something else.Dose anyone know what it use to be called?(if there was a differnt name)

It used to be Serial Thriller when it was Six Flags I believe.

My first was the Little Dipper at Memphis Kiddie Park which is right down the street from me. I probably rode it 200 hundred times back in the day. My first real coaster was the DoubleLoop at the old Geuaga Lake. My dad had to pay me to go on.

Beastie. Paramount's Kings Island, Hanna Barbera Land. 1988. It was so much fun. It's basically a small version of Gemini. It was a definite stepping stone for going on larger coasters. Many of the "stepping stone" coasters like Adventure Express, a very fast mine ride, is fairly new as is Top Gun, a much more intense version of Iron Dragon.
My first coaster was the kiddie coaster at Memphis Kiddie Land, in Cleveland, OH. I was 4 yrs. old.

my first coaster was Patriot (5) at Castles n' Coasters in Arizona and my first CP coaster was Iron Dragon(12)
I had a similar experience to Dougster, although it wasn't punishment. Back in '89 my dad took all the family and relatives to CP for the day and he got fed up with me refusing to ride coasters so he told me that the next one I was getting on just to try, which was Gemini. I was scared but then I tried CCR, Blue Streak and I think Iron Dragon. Of course he had created a monster now and I can't get enough of them.

I had ridden a few before that date but I count Gemini as my first coaster so it is alos my first CP coaster even though I believe I have ridden Jr. Gemini before then.

I have no idea what my first coaster was- I only know that it was at Cedar Point in 1986 (I rode 'em all).
I believe it was the Jr. Gemini. But it could have been Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom.

I love lamp.

From everyone on the CP&LE, RIP Mayor Scott...~

Mine was Iron Dragon.

One of my friend's was Top Thrill Dragster. Crazy.

My first coaster ever was Phoenix at Knoebels when I was 5 yrs. old. I never rode it or any other coaster again til I was 7 yrs old.

My first coaster at CP-Millennium Force. I was really excited to ride it but it was still scary even after researching and watching on-ride videos and totally obsessing over CP and MF before the trip. *** Edited 7/3/2004 1:45:08 PM UTC by MillForce810***

corkscrew at good ol' Cedar Point! My mom made the entire family ride and my dad threw up afterwards. It was a classic moment. My dad says that the only thing that he remembers was this kid eating popcorn while going through the loop.
Mighty Canadian Minebuster at Paramount Canada's Wonderland. I was on a family trip, and my brothers somehow talked me into it. Definatly the birth of my coaster obsession
viper at six flags darien lake...i was like 7.

My first was Space Mountain at Disney World when I was 5. I just remember it being very dark with stars on the ceiling and I was screaming and crying the entire time.
