First Coaster?

Same here, J.G. 7 years old. but then I made it up to Gemini right after. Blue train first, then the red train. So Gemini was my first "real" roller coaster. It was funny because when the first time I went on it I asked the guy next to me if the red train went on "that red track over there". This was in 94. Got on the red train right after and realized it didn't!

SKY-RYDER,

You need to answer the question. After all, you asked it!

My first non-kiddie coaster was the Comet at Myers Lake Park in Canton, OH

My first CP coaster was Blue Streak

The first roller coaster I remember riding was Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom. I'm sure I rode other coasters before that, I just don't remember them. My wife's first coaster was the Double Loop at Geauga Lake now Six Flags Worlds of Adventure, which is a waste of time & money now.

For both of us, our first coaster at CP was Blue Streak.

My first coaster Days of Thunder at Paramounts Carowinds in North Carolina

My very first coaster was Corkscrew. That scared me half to death in 99'. Right after we got off my friends tricked me about Magnum saying it was small, then at the station I looked up and said let's do it. Coaster freak ever since....

My first roller coaster ever was the Looping Star at the Ohio State Fair. It was a long time ago. But the first coaster at Cedar Point was Raptor. I like to start out Big!;)

There are 24 hours in a day, and 24 beers in a case. Coincidence?

Yay for the people who rode Blue Streak first!!!!!!! It is my baby.......I worked it last season and I will be working it again this season.

By the way, my first coaster was the Wildcat at CP when I was 13.

Hey Gravity, those were my first coasters as well! (although I don't remember them at all)

First CP coaster and coaster I remember: GEMINI. I remember looking at the thing from my campsite telling myself I can do it, next morning I cried afterwords. Iron Dragon soon became my favorite until I went back in high school and fell in love with roller coasters

OldCPer, it's interesting that you mention Walled Lake Amusement Park. I'm currently doing a study on the City of Walled Lake with my landscape architecture class, and the head of the planning department mentioned the park. You can imagine that I immediately gained MUCH more interest on the subject. I guess it is true that most small towns had amusement parks back in the day...so sad :-(
First coaster ever: Double Loop @ the former Geauga Lake, now Six Flags Worlds of Adventure-1997

First coaster @ CP: Raptor- 1998

life without danger is a waste of oxygen

The Phoenix at Knoebels. It was just after my 5th birthday and I've loved it and any other coaster since then. I still love to ride the Phoenix, and I still think it's one of the best coasters out there.
My first coaster was back in South Africa in about 1975/1976 or thereabouts, at a travelling amusement park called "Pleasureland" that sets up in Port Elizabeth every year over the Christmas season.

The coaster was similar to the Wildcat. I remember begging, pleading, and evenutally creating a scene to get my parents to let me ride! About half-way up the hill I remember being terrified....after that the first drop I was hooked.

My first ride at CP was the Raptor - on my first trip (last year, early May) I managed 21 coaster rides in total, and rode every coaster except Jr Gemini and Woodstock Express.

Coming from South Africa where the weather is a tad warmer over the winter ;) I have consoled myself daily with the thought that there are only "100 and whatever" days to May 4th!

See you in line at TDD

"Will all those who expressed disappointment at the new ride please leave the park now"

My first roller coaster was the Magnum. The first drop had me scared poopless, but by the bottom of the second drop, I was in love.
My 1st coaster was the corkscrew. My first good coaster was the Gemini. My most recent coaster was... the Millennium Force!!!!

------------------
MF Rides: 23
WT Rides: 5
Magnum Rides: Over 100
Dragster Rides: Hopefully a Lot...

My first ride on was on Thunder Run at Kentucky Kingdom now Six Flags owns that park also. But My first roller coaster ride at Cedar Point was on the Iton Dragon in 2000, and raptor in 2000
My first ride was on the Corkscrew at Michigan's Adventure. I think I was about eight years old.
