Final Stats?

I guess besides all the little "one post here - one post there" topics and posts, I have a little announcement. (and Im sorry mods, I looked but didnt see and 'official' stats thread)

Jeff, our buddy on Thepointol.com, who has been let in on what the final ride will be (by CP, hes one of the 75) made a quick topic this afternoon leaking a little info out to us freaks ;)

Jeff made a topic that would close after 5mins, and stated the final stats to be:

424feet

0-122mph in 2.5 seconds.

This sounds about right... and what we were all talking about. So I guess this is about as "official" as we're gonna get for awhile.

Somehow I don't think 2.5 sec is right. It would be awesome if it was. I'll just have to go to the park next year and find out for myself. :)

I was wondering about that post. If CP doesn't want this info to be out, then this topic and anything that relates to the official stats should be deleted. Perhaps it's too late though...as this is the second time someone has posted about Jeff's earlier post.

And by Jeff's silence on this, I'd guess he is looking at things. Things like IP addy's. He'll find out if someone is posting as him and neutalize them.

to my knowledge, Jeff is one of the 75 people "in" on #16.... but has signed a confidentiality agreement.

Jeff has NOT spoken. Review the posts here. I don't think Andrew from TPO has said anything, either.

I don't think you know the real stats but those stats do sound about right.

I didn't sign anything, I can say whatever I want, I just respect my contacts and relationship with the park enough not to.

At 2 Gs [the hydrualics maximum normal launch] going 0-122 MPH, it would take 2.3 seconds, and 180' length to accelerate to that velocity. Now, you have to take into account that the launch won't sustain exactly 2 Gs for the entire launch time, so 2.5 seconds may be very close to the actual stats.

Sorry bud, I was just going by what I had heard, I wasnt aware of the "fraudulant Jeff."

First of all, let me say that my monitor at work absolutely sucks pond scum face first. It is a 14" dim fuzzy piece of rubbish and I have two better tubes in my basement collecting dust. I should complain to my union rep about 'ergonomics' or something really silly like that.

None of that makes me feel like any less of a sap for missing the little dot that preceded the Jeff. How embarrassing. Allow me to say Dooooooiiiiiiieeeeeeeee in my own behalf. Funny--that didn't make me feel any better either.

Anyway, in a response that I deleted in horror I wondered how long it would take before somebody ran up a new thread entitled "Ooooh! Ooooh! Ooooh!" Now we know. In fact, now I do feel a little better 'cuz I know there's still worse than me out there.
