Fence now around Town Hall

How sad, looks like it could be getting the axe? Probably expansion for the SRF area.

That truly IS sad, it's been there since 1969. Did you happen to snap any pics / maybe can post them? Is the fence just in the front of the building or on the side as well? This would explain why the park didn't make the move to expand it into another museum a few years back. I DO still feel the park needs to honor their rich history somewhere in the park, if not here, maybe another spot. Time shall tell.

Or it could be getting repurposed to be integrated into the "reimagining" of that area.

The museum expansion was a victim of the Covid-era chaos. An unfortunate one, for sure, but now with the new museum operating in Sandusky at least the history of the park is alive somewhere.

That building is a piece of the park's history; I hope it gets used somehow. much like how White Water Landing's station became part of Maverick.

I could be way off base here, but if the wall were put in place for them to tear it down, wouldn't the wall wrap all the way around the building, rather than just around the entrance? Photo courtesy of a Reddit post.

I haven't visited the park yet this season, but thought there was a pic floating around online somewhere showing a new concrete ramp added to one of the entrances of THM. Why would the park pour this concrete if the building is coming down?

Anyway, a queue area with interactive props for a new ride would make a good use for this building.

^^ it’s because they’re only tearing down the entrance. The rest of the building will remain intact.

Sit tight fellas ;) Tall boys are chilling in the bushes.

Here’s the brand new concrete ramp installed on the Skyhawk side of the museum.

That's just the ramp they will use to haul away all of the deconstruction debris.

There's already an ADA ramp at the main entrance to the building. Adding an ADA ramp to the other entrance seems to suggest one is an entrance only and the other an exit only. And it's hard to see why they would go through the hassle of doing this during the season for something that's opening next year. So maybe a HW attraction.

I told you, they are demolishing the original entrance, and will haul the debris out of the new entrance in the back, down the new ramp. ;)

New hand breaded chicken tenders stand. The demand has been so great this year for the scrumpdilyicious tenders that they have to open up a new stand. Enter on one side, exit the other. Simple as that.

I've heard unsubstantiated rumors that it's the new TT2 complaint center.

While it is true that Engine Co. #3 and the Farmhouse drink stand are within the 250' radius of this location a new bar in this building would provide coverage to the area between Skyhawk and the back of the old Frontier Lift Station. There are several other prime spots to eliminate dry areas of the park and this location is not at the top of the list but it could be a step in the right direction.

Also, for those wondering the picture of the fence above confirms the rumor I had heard that security would be stationed at the new fence 24/7 to make sure it cannot be used to conceal tall boys.

I hadn't thought of that, but this makes a ton of sense (at least for now); and what an awesome location for one it would be as well.

My dream of a haunted barbershop quartet in the gazebo could come true...

Ken Miller could be the doorman, Rocky Horror style.

CP was always a place mostly free of alcohol except maybe one or two locations including the hotels. It’s so weird how now everything is drink culture. Stadiums are full of bars where seats used to be, brew houses everywhere, etc. I get it though if people wanna blow their money on beer then CP earn that cash!

Mostly free of alcohol? Are you sure you've been going to the same place I have for the last several decades?

Wow, who knew that the castle on frontier trail was constructed for the sole purpose of selling beer. Lagoons and beer have been at Cedar Point for over 100 years!

"The result of these plans was the construction of the Crystal Rock Castle in 1904. Located near the lagoons, this building was devoted exclusively to the sale of alcoholic beverages, especially Kuebeler's popular Crystal Rock brand of beer."

"With the opening of the Crystal Rock Castle and the Coliseum, Cedar Point may have had the largest facilities for serving alcoholic drinks of any resort in the nation."

Unless they relocate the Freakshow HW location which is just a few hundred feet away from Town Hall, I don't know about that.
