Favorite sounds of CP

The screams and laughter of people on the rides.

The sound of Mantis and Raptor being propelled by the wheels when leaving the station.

My favorite sound is the TTD engine & the squealing of tires as the trains arebeing llaunched.

My text message alert on my phone is the sound of the TTD launch cables over by the hydraulic buidling! Sounds great!

The train whistle on the CP&LE RR. It's been they iconic sound of CP ever since I was a kid.

My brother recorded it on his digital recorder while at the park, it turned out great!

I have to say, as an employee, the best sounds are the ones you hear when the park is empty late at night. The best was always hearing Space Spiral's cables hit against the structure during the wind. When it was the dead of night and windy, the sound was very ominous and awesome to hear.

Zombie thread is hungry for flesh! But nothing beats the sound of a Magnum train going up the lift.

Well, last year when we were at Breakers, the fire alarm went off very very early in the morning (well before the sun came up) and we all evacuated out near the fire pits. So...the fire alarm is clearly one of my favorite sounds at CP.

But seriously, I'd have to say the roar of Rougarou going down the drop, the TTD launch, the MF music still gets me hype, and the gulls when it's quiet near the beach.

This is going to sound amazingly silly, but when I'm strolling down the midway, passing Kiddie Kingdom and there is a particularly happy-go-lucky bunch of kids on either the motorcycles or the cars just constantly beeping those little horns, I get pretty happy. Mix that with their nearly hysterical laughter, and I've got a pretty big smile on my face. (Maybe it's because it reminds me of what used to be.) I'm sure it drives the host nuts, though.

But, probably my most favorite sound is the music of the Carousel -- either one of them.

Cash register draining my credit card at surf lounge

Anything Millennium Force related. The station music, going up the lift and hearing a clank at times. TTD's station music. And hearing Chess/Digger/Blackjack in the SV station.

The sound of someone being made whole again.

For me it's the sound of all the roller coasters roaring throughout the midway.
