What are you talking about, it is the heartbeat of the park. :)

The sounds are great and the sights are great, but I really like the smells too. The no smoking policy will only make this part of the CP experience even better.

These are the topics that make May seem really far away.

The last 20+ days are always the longest.:)

As I'm walking into the park: the BS skreetching through the turnaround. As I'm riding, hearing CCMR creek and squeak. But my favorite of all is just walking around near PT and hearing the whoosh from all the air. From the right distance it almost sounds like a Godzilla roar. Or maybe it's just me.

As for smells, how about the smell of the train as it goes by?

I always sit in the front of the train so I can smell it. :) I like the smell of the grease on the lift chains too. LOL!!

The Roar the Raptor makes going through that first loop, its unforgettable.

I'm going to have to agree with an early post and say a test ride on dragster in the early morning. the park is so quiet and you can hear every little element of the ride.

That's my favorite time of the day. The absence of the engine roar really makes each test launch stand out in terms of distinct CP sounds.

For sounds I could never choose between the Dragster launch, entire sound of Skyhawk, the click at the top of PT (and the whoosh of the air), and any lift hill sound. The roar of Raptor is amazing. I also like the sounds of people looking at the on-ride photos. They all laugh or say they look stupid (after taking forever to figure out which picutre is theirs!)

Smells would have to be the french fries and the grease. I always associate that smell with roller coasters. I can't step into an auto garage without feeling "homesick"...15 days!

The sound of Blue Streak's chain lift is pure bliss.

I've always like the sound (or lack thereof, perhaps) of FT.

Power Tower's woosh.. Raptor and Mantis' roars.. the "heartbeat" of TTD.. the sounds of all the people talking and walking and having fun..

It all pales in comparison to Funkytown on the Midway :)

Haha! that was me on my old account! In the first one when Obi Wan sneaks past the stormtroopers and climbs onto that thingamajigger and incapacitates the tractor beam or whatever :) [/formerStarWars nerd]

I really love the sound of wicked Twister rushing through the station. When it first starts, it sounds like a Circular saw that needs a good greasing. :)

my favorite sound is when im just entering the main gates and i hear raptors train fall from the first hill

My favorite sound is Demon Drop. It always brings back great memories from past visits. Also Magnums Lift its unique as well. And the Rattle of Corkscrew when its about to the Midway :)

The release of the Magnum train at the very top of the first hill.

Mine is the thing the launch lights the beep beep beep beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep

I have many favorites.

The roar Mantis makes at the bottom of the first drop. Wicked Twister going through the station. TTD launch. The sound of any coaster going by.

My favorite though is people screaming on the rides as I walk by.

It's even better from the electrical room. Very noisy stuff.
