Favorite Night Light Ride

Defenetely Millenium force.

You guys are right about TTD. When I worked on the midways last year, Dragster was my favorite ride to look at. The ligting is simple, yet eligant. Close second, is MS.

i wish they would do something to mantis' lights..i mean, it is an amazing ride to ride at night, but i think adding strobe lights everywhere, turning off all other lights, and 'updating the following light up the hill would be amazing and add an ominous effect.
maybe actually synch the lights under skyhawk.
add some spotlights on maxair
fix the PT lights
add some color to dragster!!! make the countdown more dramatic!

thats it...i think.

How about he add a red light if it has a roolback? Kind of light if you start too early at a drag strip?

lol. I think the red light thing is a good idea though. It would be more realistic, cause if ttd was a real drag race, it would get disqualified for each time it broke down.

The greatest night ride I ever had was in 1993 on MS. I was there for an ACE convention and during ERT on the second night they turned off all the lights on MS, and it was a new moon. You couldn't see your hand in front of your face. While we were wainting for our train the ride op was doing her spiel about going 70 some mph, and I jokingly ask if it had ever gone faster and she just shrugged. As we were pulling out of the station she winked at me and smiled, so I told everybody to hang on it was going to be a wild ride. Sure enough they layed of the brakes at the midpoint and we hit the wecond half of the ride like a runaway train. That is still the BEST ride I have ever had on MS or any coaster for that matter.

P.S. during the convention I rode Maggie 50 times over three days and MS 35 times.

I will go with MS and BS. MS is such a gorgeous ride at night. BS has the simple classic look of its time.

As for PT - it used to look great with the changing colors. But it hasn't worked right in several years. The story is that the system was struck by lightning one year. Wether that is the case or not, it doesn't work anymore. If the park doesn't want to fix it, I wish they would replace the lighting with simple floods or nothing at all. All they are doing now is announcing to everbody, "look, our ride lights don't work right. And we're too cheap and lazy to fix it!" *** Edited 7/15/2006 5:36:53 PM UTC by Magnum "Candy" Man***

chaos at night is cool

^Yeah it is, in fact I really like the whole WT Midway at night.

It has to be TTD. As Gomez stated about the two 'searchlights', it's just amazing, even though it's been toned down a bit. The sheer amount of light on the entire structure is amazing, at least to me.
