Favorite Food

My vote for favorite park food goes to the BBQ Turkey Legs from Gristmill. Yum!

Rebekah, are those the things that get grilled on a separate grill in front of the Gristmill? I thought that was chicken but whatever it is nearly killed me last year. I was a sweep, and everytime I went to sweep around the Gristmill the overwhelmingly glorious smell of that BBQ just about drove me over the edge. I would be near tears on several occassions and considered quitting just so I could run back to my room, change clothes, and come back to eat at the Gristmill. I am not even exaggerating. They shouldn't tease the sweeps that way ;-)

Chip burgers are ice cream (normally soft serve) sandwiched between two chocolate-chip cookies.

Whew, that is a relief. . .I was picturing some sort of weird hamburger from Hell made out of broken up potato chips. What was I thinking?

Ross: Yeah, you too. Man, so-so what are you up to?
Will: I'm a commodities broker.
Ross: Really? Yeah that-that sounds interesting.
Will: Yeah, it's not. But I'm rich and thin.

Oh -- similar to the Choco Taco!

Yep Cat, The Turkey Legs were what they grilled out there every day, we got to smell them all day over at Snake. It was pure torture!

All i have to say is the Pork BBQ, though expensive was worth every penny i ever paid for it from the resturaunt right next to MF's Entrance. I paid reg price for that all summer long when i didnt quite feel like the short jaunt to the cafe from MF. Plus when the machine behind red garter was working....and held fruit cups, those were the best tasting things ever on a 15 min break, unless the tab broke...lol
i've never tried those Dippin Dots but i hear there good...but the BEST would have to be the FUDGE, Peanut Butter Fudge rocks!

You've NEVER had Dippin' Dots? ::gasp:: I have never been able to understand that...I think that is what precipitated the break up between me and my boyfriend last year...I found out he had never had Dippin' Dots in his entire life. I could not look at him the same way after that...

You better have some this year ChodaBoy, or I will not be able to respect you. All the flavors are good, but I'd have to recommed mint chocolate...

There IS such thing as a Dippin' Dots machine!! *comforts you* I have seen one at my local movie theater (the only place I have seen a Dippin' Dots machine). Unfortunately, it was out of order :( But I was so happy to discover that such a thing existed, it was like Christmas. I don't understand what you meant though - did you mean to say get TO a DD machine, or did you mean actually buy one? I can't think of anything that would be neater than to have your own DD machine, I think it would bring you lots of friends *hint*

It would be awesome if CP installed a DD machine in the caf. I don't think I could ask for anything more...

Well, actually we were thinking of a machine that MAKES Dippin' Dots.

Though, that machine actually seems pretty cool. When we were on their website last year, such a thing didn't exist. Something about how Dots are made at extremely high temperatures. Must be a new advancement in technology...Well, I'm in [starts counting pennies]

I am also a big fan of those funnel cakes and elephant ears; I get one of those once in a while while I'm playing in the park...

Wow. . .You know what? We should make a club. . .A club where, every day, we eat something REALLY unhealthy -- but we RUN to get it, and we RUN back. And then we do 10 jumping jacks. And a few crunches.

That way, we will not gain weight -- but we will be able to eat all the cheese on a stick, all the dippin' dots, all the chip burgers, all the krispy kremes, all the corndogs, and all the frozen custard we want!

It will be a revolution. . .a food revolution, combining brief spurts of exercise with rediculously unhealthy food. . . I call it:

The SOEBTCAWCEAWWSSU Club!

(Spurts Of Exercise Burn The Calories And We Can Eat All We Want, So Shut Up!)

Hmmm. . .the name MIGHT need some work, but the premise is sound.

Or, you could just line up with the guests on your day off at the front gate for the "Running of the Bulls" -- you'd have the whole Boston Marathon ambiance, too!

And what's with the whole "free employee shuttle" thing? Why not just jog to Meijer and back? ^_~

Ugh... fried dough. FRIED DOUGH. Elephant ears. pffft

POP. Not SODA. Soda is pop with ice cream in it.

In my family we always called pop with ice cream in it a float...like a Rootbeer Float. Anyway, I think Pop and Soda are the same thing. But I will have to agree with some of the above comments that Dippin Dots are #1 in the Cedar Point food contest. As long as you don't get the sorbet kind, its not that good. But the chocolate and vanilla and all the rest are the bomb!
