Favorite Food

I don't think I am the only one who is no longer interested in "Where do I sleep?" and "How many hours will I get?" topics. . .

. . .so, I was just wondering. . .as employees, you know (for better or for worse) where to get all kinds of food around the Point.

What is your favorite thing you must have? What will you never get?

I always have to get the yummy frozen custard. . .and the very unhealthy "Cheese on a Stick."

Well my favorite are the Corn Dogs on the main midway at the Burger Patio. I wish they served them everyday in the Cafe. I also love the cheese sticks at the Dragons Inn.

If your in the mood for drinks/desserts, then the Milkshakes at Toot Sweets on the Frontier Trail just before the MF tunnel are great.

But if your like me, most of the food you eat comes from the Cafe or the Stockade which can get old really quick;) Unless its a Chicken Sandwhich with cheese:) I really like cheese!

Good topic...*drool* My thing is those Tropic Thurst drinks. Even when it was cold out, I couldn't resist treating myself to at least one (one...yeah) a day. My favorite is the Black Cherry kind, but they only have that flavor in the caf, and being in Area 2 I don't get up there much. But I learned to love the strawberry and lime they have at Stockade just as much :-)~ They better still have them this year, or I'm starting a protest.

Also, Dippin' Dots. Man oh man, I wish we could get a discount on those!! I generally don't like spending my money on park food, but I've had to splurge for the Dippin' Dots more than once.

I think I might have to look into that Frozen Custard this year...never had one of those Cheese on a Sticks either, but anything that has the word 'cheese' in it's name has got to be good ;-)

Oh my God, I feel like such a idiot, I cannot believe I forgot about TALKING CEDAR POINT FUDGE. What is wrong with me?! The Mint Chocolate kind! My roommate bought some last year and was kind enough to share it with me...I tried to put it away after one (okay three) bites, but everytime I did I could hear it calling my name from inside the refrigerator.

99er, I don't think a day went by last season that I did not consider getting a milkshake from Toot Sweets. I tried to restrain myself, because that was not a habit I wanted to get into. But I think I am going to have to add milkshake to my list for this season.

I better lose about twenty pounds before I process in...

Oh dear God, Cat. I was thinking, "Talking fudge? What the heck?" And I was judging you -- then I finished reading your post and I COULDN'T STOP LAUGING! That is TOO funny!

Yeah, the frozen custard located right by the spherical fountain thingy. It's really cheap, and you can have chocolate and vanilla, its SO good.

And I forgot to mention . . . nothing compares to a Johhny Rocket's grilled cheese. You have like three choices of cheese, and three choices of bread -- what more could you ask for?

One day I will build a food-er-coaster -- a magical ride that takes you to a place full of your favorite foods, all of which will magically be calorie-free and waiting to become one with your stomach.

Hey if the forzen custard is cheap, then I just might make a new best friend this season. The first time I ever had frozen custard was a couple of months ago at this little gift shop near my house, and I was in awe that I had gone nineteen years without ever experiencing frozen custard. I felt like I had no right to show my face in public.

<<And I forgot to mention . . . nothing compares to a Johhny Rocket's grilled cheese. You have like three choices of cheese, and three choices of bread >>

THREE different kinds of cheese? I am going to lose my job sometime in June because I won't be able to fit through the turnstyles in order to get to work.

Live E, I LOVE your quote. If it ever happens that I am given the opprotunity to start my own new universe, I'm going to make appoint you God.

Cat, next to milk shakes, the Tropic Thurst drinks are the greatest thing at the park. That is an item that is always on my tray when i go to the Caf, unless the machine is broke, then I get angry:(

I alos recomend the Philly Steak and Cheese at TGI Fridays. That is some good eatin, for those of you who like to venture outside the park gates;)

I must say, the pasta dishes from the Caf are killer -- in a good way, of course (Chicken Alfredo Day was like a national holiday in our office last season, with Cheese Tortellini running a close second...and mmmm, breadsticks!).

The thing I can NOT resist at the Point is a stop by the Ice Cream Parlor (also known as the "Temptation Station"); those chocolate milkshakes with whipped cream and cherries are oh-so-good on a hot July afternoon. Mmmm, Toft's...*drool* Or some tasty Krispy Creme doughnuts...fudge-iced custard-filled, anyone?

And let's not even start on the 100 varieties of Midway Market New York Style cheesecake... Oh dear, I can't believe I lost weight at the Point... ^_^

Mmmmmmmmmm...... I am so so so hungry after reading all these posts! Cedar Point Food!! Frozen Custard definitely tops the list for sure!! That stuff was soooooo good!!! I used to go to Chuck Wagon and get one of their make your own salads with so many toppings and tons of ranch dressing. It was the cheapest unhealthiest salad around. I used to do a salad run on occasion and go get like six of them for Camp Snoopy Theater! That was sooooo much fun!! I am pretty partial to CP's chicken fingers. Those things are really really good!!! TGI Fridays Vanilla Cheesecake mmmmmmmm........ Cheese on a stick! I need to try that! That sounds really good!! Elephant Ears yummmmmmmmy!!! Goodness Gracious! I have to go eat something! This was fun but now I am really really hungry!!!

Cheeeeeeeeese......... on a stick! (I always stretch out the cheese, and pause for effect. People are more intrigued about trying it that way for some reason).

Man, this is making me wish I could work there now. I love cheese on a stick... and yes, the fudge is reallllly good. It looks so innocent while you eat it... I'd hate to actually read the nutrition facts on that, or on the cheese on a stick for that matter.

My supervisor absolutely has to get an elephant ear while there. Another friend of mine goes for the Happy Friar fries. But I must have my cheese on a stick.

17 straight years of real thrills and counting...

Dear God. . . I did not know sticks o'cheese would be so popular! I should have bought stock. :(

Oh my, all this talk of cheesecake will ruin me! And Krispy-Kreme dougnuts? Please. . .I will have to be so careful! I live for cheesecake . . . I don't even WANT to inquire about the 100 variety statement.

Mmmm the Chuck Wagon make-your-own-salad sounds interesting. (I am a vegetable-arian!)

Oh well, it looks like there will be plenty to fill my plate this summer!

Well, I don't think there are really 100 varieties of cheesecake...but it sure looks like it as one circles the dessert station! Raspberry-covered, strawberry-covered, cherry-covered, caramel, chocolate fudge, fudge-and-walnut, peanut butter and chocolate, raspberry fudge, tin roof, butterscotch, key lime sauce, white chocolate chip...just a few that I'm sure I've seen there... (and that's not even including all the cakes, pies, and make-your-own ice cream sundae station...) Are you hurting yet? ^_^

Two words:

Chip Burgers.

Another favorite "off point" is Tofts fudge brownie ice cream.

I absolutely LOVE Cheese-On-A-Stick! I got to experience it for the first time this last season, and it was "love at first bite." I tried to get one every time I was in the park on my day off.
