Power Tower may be much larger, but the drop it provides is, well, lame. Demon Drop plunged like a rock--it was intense. Power Tower is fun, but not in the same sense.
I think you are so right on this. I had a much bigger thrill with the free fall of Demon Drop than the push down or up with Power Tower, despite the height difference.

Close second is White Water Landing. I think CP would have been better off remodeling WWL instead of spending 10 mil on Shoot the Rapids. Maverick could have gone where Shoot the Rapids is now.
I agree with this. I think flume rides are a lot of fun and so family friendly, I know my kids would had been able to ride the flume but had to wait to grow for Shoot the Rapids now. Plus some people don't want to get soaked with that stinky water anyway and most flumes just give a little splash. It's still cooling riding along in the water even if you don't get wet.

If i had to pick, it would be a toss up between the Sky Slide and Pirate Ride. I was a little girl when those rides were around and while i was afraid of most rides, going on those made me feel brave! LOL
Having my own kids grow up at Cedar Point though, i completely love both Snoopy areas and wouldn't give them up. I'm thrilled that there is so much for families of small children to do at the park now.
An obvious one....Bayern Kurve.
Loved a lot of the classic Cedar Point attractions of the late 70's through about 1993. Some of my favs from then include Fun House, Mill Race, San Francisco Earthquake Ride, Frontier Lift, White Water Landing, Western Cruise, Rotor, Schwabinchen, and I even rode the original Shoot The Rapids which was vastly better than the current incarnation.
I don't think Cedar Point ever had a Ring of Fire, Aaron.

Not sure if this video has even been posted over here, but it has a lot of great footage of defunct rides....
