I was looking at my old brochures and park maps and I'm amazed at the 30+ attractions that have been removed from the park since I was a kid. **What is the one ride/attraction that you truly miss from Cedar Point and if you could bring it back, what would it be?** My vote would be for the Sky Slide (you sat in burlap sacks and went down this huge 3 wave slide with 15 different lanes). It used to be where part of Planet Snoopy is now located. The old Funhouse is a close 2nd. Here are some ideas to get you started: Trabant, Tiki Twirl, Sky wheel (double ferris), Frontier Lift, Pirate Ride, Earthquake, Western Cruise (Paddlewheel Excursions), Space Spiral, Disaster Transport, Bayern Kurve, Schwabinchen, Vertigo, White Water landing, Mill race (log flume ride), Old Shoot the Rapids (Frontier Town), Sealand Aquarium, Oceana, Kid Arthur's Court, Super Jets, Wildcat, Chaos, Jungle Larry's, Jumbo Jets rollercoaster, Rotor, Frontier Carousel, Swan Boats, Demon drop....you might have others....
At first I was thinking Wildcat, because I just loved that ride. It had the old fairground type feel. Then I remembered Demon Drop. I loved demon drop. That would be my first. Then Wildcat. Then the original Disaster Transport. Not how it looked this year.
Frontier Lift and the Western Cruise for me.

The Earthquake and Pirate Rides are the most needed type of ride brought back to CP. The advancement in technology from when these existed and the lack of anything in the local market when it comes to dark rides in general really needs to be addressed.
The question is, would CP be able to maintain the special effects so that the quality of the experience is always interesting and fresh? They would also have to imploy technology like Disney's DoomBuggy cars to get the capacity high enough.
Without a doubt, most people visit Disney and Universal for these types of attractions and it would be nice for CP to offer something close. Sally Corp, has many offerings that would likely fit the bill.
Thinking strictly about rides, the one I miss most is White Water Landing. That ride was satisfyingly long and very pleasant with an exciting finish. The amazing view of the sun setting over the lake while traversing the elevated portion stands as a strong memory.
That being said, if I magically brought it back, there'd be no Maverick. Maverick is probably my favorite ride in the park, so I happily accept that change and would not bring back WWL. Let me think through the others...
I sort of miss Mill Race for some reason, but again, I'm certainly happier with Raptor.
I definitely miss Disaster Transport, but I'm guessing that I'll be happier with the GateKeeper replacement.
I was very sad to see Demon Drop go, but I can ride it at Dorney, so I wouldn't use my magical wish on it.
I have lots of good memories on Pirate Ride, but in all honesty, it wouldn't be worth bringing back today without major upgrades. My happy memories on it tend to be me laughing at the blow-up snake, corny sound effects, and most of the stuff not working. "Oh Dad, look...only one of the pirates is silently firing their cannon on the ship today."
I'm not happy at all with Dinosaurs Alive replacing Paddlewheel Excursions, so I'd love to see that change reverse.
But, having gone through everything here, the winner is pretty clear for me. I'd bring back Wildcat. That ride was just pure fun...a sleeper hit in the park. That area looks even more junky to me now during the day, and I wasn't very impressed with Luminosity. Maybe it'll get better, but right now my save is clear.
But what if you could bring it back, Ffej, and decide where it could go?
I would bring White Water Landing back, and put it right where Shoot the Rapids is.

That's what she said. Sorry, I had to!
I would probably choose Vertigo. It looks really cool in pictures.
Let's Get Weird.
I miss so many rides...I am always sad to see them go and I get so excited when new ones come...THe fun part is that even if a ride is gone.... you can close your eyes and feel like you are on it !!!Just a happy thought!
Life is like a rollercoaster! It is full of ups and downs

In this case, the save would go to White Water Landing.
^^lol I was thinking the same as soon as I hit submit.
Berenstain Bears country. Not the cutesy outdoor nonsense with the choo choo & dinosaur dig, but the original; phone calls from sister bear in an unnecessarily dark and foreboding setting.
Girl: "l want to ride that yellow one again... Twisted Wicker"
Me: "It's a roller coaster, not a broken clothes hamper."
I loved the ride experience of Chaos. Can my wish also make all the engineeringing problems go away with it too?
Mine are, the ROTOR, and Pirate Ride.. it is driven by the fact that my kids never rode them, they weren't around then. You can only explain so much. I always expained the Rotor and as washing machine on the spin cycle. :)
GATEKEEPER-I came, I rode, I was mildly disappointed; until a second ride (rear left) put GateKeeper back on the...it's a nice ride list.
Jumbo Jets! The year I was tall enough to ride was the first year it was removed from the park 1978.
Although I miss WWL, Pirate Ride and Earthequake are a close second. Those were fun rides even for me as a young kid in the 70s.
Chaos and Wildcat!
I never visited the park before 2003 so I didn't get to experience the older attractions, but to me Frontier Lift looked to be the coolest.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
