Favorite Area of Cedar Point!

Not bad. $8.95 for Bud Light and Landshark and $10.95 or so for mixed drinks. All on tap. Best place to spend a Sunday afternoon. Just bring your Visa card and start a tab.

I love the area around the marina gate with the old lights and the mature trees - great place to sit and relax for a bit and eat popcorn with my daughter before heading back to the roller coasters.

One of the reasons I'd hate to see either of the car rides removed and replaced with a new attraction is I figure they'd cut down many of those old trees, and that would be a real shame.

My husband and I wanted to go to Bubbles for the first time Saturday and asked at their gate about starting a tab on a Visa and they said we couldn't do that. Disappointed about the no-go on the load up wrist bands for food and drink at Soak City. We don't like taking money or are cards in and would have run in a card for a tab and ran it back to the car if they said we could. But when it became overcast it got cold and called it a day on swimming.

You didn't ask the bartender?

Or you relied on information from the Guatemalan 17 year old at the entrance that knows 8 words in the English language?

It's Cedar Point, they will allow you virtually any legal means to conveniently allow you and you money to part ways.

That being said, I love Bubbles and I think its very reasonably priced.

At that point, yes, we didn't swim up to the bartender to ask how to pay for it when we were standing at the gate inquiring. Thanks for pointing out the uninformed gate people hired for that position.

He said most people just keep their money in their bags in chairs around the pool and the bartender definitely won't start a tab. We didn't think he was talking out of his rear end.

I like Frontier Trail and the area between Goodtime Theater and the cars. Unfortunately, I don't see these areas lasting much longer, as Cedar Point isn't fond of relaxing atmosphere (as STR has proved, Frontier Trail isn't untouchable). Coasters and concrete will soon replace them all.

You have to pay as you go, but you can most definitely use a Visa card. You just have them swip it each time you buy a round.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I don't understand. You wanted to see if you could run a bar tab, so you asked someone who doesn't work at or near the bar?
