Extra Que Space

Power Tower hasn't had a full queue long before the Kentucky Kingdom incident.

^True, but that isn't helping the situation any more.

Other than enthusiasts, I doubt many people going to Cedar Point even have a clue what happened at Kentucky Kingdom. Unless they're from that area. And even then...

Yeah, I only had about 3 guests ask me about that incident all summer. Ironically enough, my mom and my (now ex) girlfriend were the first ones to notify me that the incident had occurred, and, evidently, the news reports from the Ft. Wayne/Indianapolis area were making it sound like it actually happened at Cedar Point.

As for lines...the two hour wait for MF didn't seem too bad, though for most of the day they could have used the overflow area underneath the turn again, as I saw it back beyond Panda or curved around the lockers in front of the sign several times. Dragster was back to the station almost every time I walked past it.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

Beside, the incident at KK was on a different kind of drop ride, hence all gyro drops being shut down until they figured out what happened.

how is that not bad again? Sounds pretty awful to me...

A 2 hour wait on MF isn't that unusual to see on and Saturday during the summer months. Now, a line back to Panda Express is more reminicent of 2000/2001.

In regards to the KK incedent. IF it were made so public that everyone and their brother knew about it, we would again have the public ignorance of not knowing that they are dirrerent types of rides. To most of the GP, a Drop Tower is a Drop Tower. In a case like that, I could see it hurting the lines of Drop towers at other parks.

^That's exactly it. People heard it on the news and hear drop ride. I've overheard many talking about not wanting to ride PT after that incident.

But after KK shredded one of its trains, you didn't hear the same about TTD. And those are even the same model/manufacturer.

National attention didn't get that one. Usually its when a death/fatal injury that creates the media frenzy.

It all depends on the story, the type of day it is for news (slow/or not).

^ That's because that had no where /near/ the publicity of the SFKK incident, and, since nobody lost any feet, I can see why. (lack of sensationalism to the story)
