"Not to mention Halloweekends."
How busy are Halloweekends? I'll be going for the first time this Sept/Oct and was wondering.
I've gone a few times this season and the last time was so busy as it was a mid-August weekend. There were huge waits for rides (2 hrs MF, 1h45m for Rapter, 30 min for mine ride...)
How busy are HalloWeekends? If it's a nice Saturday, very busy:

We managed to do all the coasters on a Saturday HalloWeekend last year.. thanks to a nice hour long downpour around 7:00 we got walk-ons on MF, TTD, and Mantis.
Didn't they weld the Magnum queue so that back section is no longer usable?
Speaking of queue issues, anyone think that Maxair needs more of it? Everytime I see it the line is way out on the midway.

Halloweekends are horribly busy. I went a few years ago and will probably never go on a Saturday again. MF was a 4 hour wait, and the Midways were just packed with people. I'd never seen the park that crowded and I hope I never do again.
Same here...i've never waited as long for anything as I did during Halloweekends last year...I think it's a combo of lots of people+less staff due to colleges/universities being back in session.
Those queues do fill up to full and beyond full at least a few times a year. Halloweekends can be insanely crowded, but it can also be deserted at times, it all depends on the weather. Last year there were two Saturdays in a row that were nuts (one of them is where those pictures came from) but the rest of the days weren't too bad. I'm pretty sure the highest attendance days of the year have been Halloweekends Saturdays the last few seasons. Friday nights and Sundays are usually good times to go if you're looking to avoid the crowds.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Thanks for the pictures. I can't believe how many people go to that. I've never gone to Halloweekends but now I might not ever.
I don't think maXair needs anymore room because the line moves really fast cause it has 50 people do on it every time new riders are loaded.

Last year I went on a Halloweekend weekend and it was the same day that Cedar Point hit a record high in attendance during Halloweekends on a Saturday. I swear every ride had a line wait except for the flat rides like Matterhorn, Chaos, Trokia, and Power Tower. Everything else had an insane line wait.
I believe it was actually upwards of 55,000. This Saturday (20th), seemed to be just as busy, maybe even more. I would not be surprised if numbers approached 60,000. I was amazed at where they were parking people; in the grass next to Blue Streak, in between boats over by marina boat garage...it was absolutely insane.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
This has a lot to do with the lack of interest in the ride.
