Extra Que Space

Why was it having a single train running? And did the rain cause all the rides to close? And man!! Three hours for Mean Streak??

Oh my gosh. I would never wait that long for Mean Streak. I mean come on. The max time for me is 30 min. I wouldn't even wait that long if all the other rides were closed.

"Not to mention Halloweekends."

How busy are Halloweekends? I'll be going for the first time this Sept/Oct and was wondering.

I've gone a few times this season and the last time was so busy as it was a mid-August weekend. There were huge waits for rides (2 hrs MF, 1h45m for Rapter, 30 min for mine ride...)

Halloweekends are horribly busy. I went a few years ago and will probably never go on a Saturday again. MF was a 4 hour wait, and the Midways were just packed with people. I'd never seen the park that crowded and I hope I never do again.

Halloweekends are quickly becoming one of the most crowded times of the year.

We managed to do all the coasters on a Saturday HalloWeekend last year.. thanks to a nice hour long downpour around 7:00 we got walk-ons on MF, TTD, and Mantis.

Didn't they weld the Magnum queue so that back section is no longer usable?

Speaking of queue issues, anyone think that Maxair needs more of it? Everytime I see it the line is way out on the midway.

Wow crazy pictures. That brings back awful memories and I don't ever want to look at them again. ;)

What is up with PointPixels? Why do we not get updates anymore?

Same here...i've never waited as long for anything as I did during Halloweekends last year...I think it's a combo of lots of people+less staff due to colleges/universities being back in session.

Where exactly is the extra queue space located on Magnum? I have never seen it in use...nor seen it at all.

There's extra queue space behind the bathrooms. So, if you enter the queue, look to your right after you pass the bathroom building and you'll see a pretty lengthy amount of queues back there.

Those queues do fill up to full and beyond full at least a few times a year. Halloweekends can be insanely crowded, but it can also be deserted at times, it all depends on the weather. Last year there were two Saturdays in a row that were nuts (one of them is where those pictures came from) but the rest of the days weren't too bad. I'm pretty sure the highest attendance days of the year have been Halloweekends Saturdays the last few seasons. Friday nights and Sundays are usually good times to go if you're looking to avoid the crowds.

Thanks for the pictures. I can't believe how many people go to that. I've never gone to Halloweekends but now I might not ever.

I don't think maXair needs anymore room because the line moves really fast cause it has 50 people do on it every time new riders are loaded.

Wicked Twister's queue over by the old Aquatic Stadium comes to mind.

Every queue gets full on Saturdays during the summer. Of course there are a couple exceptions, Power Tower, Mean Streak, the flats.

Last year I went on a Halloweekend weekend and it was the same day that Cedar Point hit a record high in attendance during Halloweekends on a Saturday. I swear every ride had a line wait except for the flat rides like Matterhorn, Chaos, Trokia, and Power Tower. Everything else had an insane line wait.

I heard last Saturday the 13th, the park hit 50,000. Just wow!

Quote from a Corkscrew ride op, "And Dragster is down again"

I believe it was actually upwards of 55,000. This Saturday (20th), seemed to be just as busy, maybe even more. I would not be surprised if numbers approached 60,000. I was amazed at where they were parking people; in the grass next to Blue Streak, in between boats over by marina boat garage...it was absolutely insane.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

What's up with power tower, even on a really crowded day? The lines are still almost walk-ons even when the other rides are full to capacity.

This has a lot to do with the lack of interest in the ride.
