I guess if I ever make it to Kings Island I'll have to search for patches on ebay. The odd question then would be why are people in/visiting southern Ohio more likely to buy a pin than a patch than people in/visiting northern Ohio? What about other parks in the chain? Is CP the only one with the influx of new patches? Has me wondering now is the whole retro/vintage merchandise thing we got going on lately specifically a CP thing and no other parks in the chain?
Why are people in different areas more likely to buy this or that? I don't know, though I expect Cedar Fair does. If they saw patches moving larger volume at Cedar Point, and pins moving in larger volume at Kings Island, that would be one incentive to adjust the merchandise mix accordingly.
I'm a Marxist, of the Groucho sort.
I just bought a neat CP jacket at the General Store that will be perfect to put the patches on. I plan on getting the patches themselves next visit.

Sorry to rehash this thread, but I was pretty bummed because there were no Steel Vengeance patches available. Seems to be that CF is phasing those out. I noticed at Kings Island last year I couldn't find patches either, just pins. There was 1 pin to choose from for Steel Vengeance.
The SV ones are now at the park. Other new official ride patch additions for 2018 are : Mill Race, Disaster Transport, Paddlewheel Excursions, and Pirate Ride! Now I'm crossing my fingers for some other defunct patches including Earthquake, Space Spiral, Demon Drop, Calypso, Schwabinchen, Bayern Kurve, Shoot the Rapids and MORE! CP, keep em' comin!
I got all the ones mentioned above opening day but I can't put Steel Vengeance on the jacket until I actually ride it. That's my rule. My husband bought a Pirate Ride patch and plans to put it on a hat.
Yet to make my first visit to the park this year so I had to ask....Any new embroidered patches (mostly looking for defunct rides) that came out this year? I saw Mill Race, Pirate Ride , Jumbo Jets the last few years. Also any "new" defunct ride T-shirts that are new to the park this year? I heard of the Happy Friar and Seagull ones that debuted this year but am mostly looking for ride T-shirts. Any input would be appreciated.
I want to say Pagoda had the most last year, along with the ride name pins, but I feel like the bulk of them must have been moved to a different shop this year, as I only recall seeing them on hooks around one of the pillars in the center, versus on the walls and such like last year.

Space Spiral and Earthquake shirts were in the shop back in Frontier Town.
Thanks! Will check those shirts out. Can't believe the park hasn't released ANY new patches this year?
Call me crazy, but I wish they had a Skyhawk patch.
Steel Vengeance rides: 224
I'd rather be sailing

Yesterday I saw a guy wearing a Cedar Point Rotor t-shirt & another guy wearing a Pirate Ride t-shirt.
^I believe there was a Skyhawk patch in the past just not in the newer batch. I think we may actually have one in the pile of stuff waiting to be stitched onto our jackets.
