Dumb question?

It also depends on your TL and ATL. My TL would remind me if I forgot to take my barbell out. It is hard getting used to having it out all day but not bad. Just remeber to put it in after you leave the gates. I have lost 5 barbells in 2 years by forgeting and losing them.

Just a reminder. Your supervisor may not always come to you they may go to your TL or ATL and tell them about it. And have them tell you to take it out. SO repeated offenses on your part may also get your Tl or ATL in trouble for not watching grooming guidelines on the crew. I can honestly say I have missed seeing things and had a sup tell me about it. So do your TL and ATl a favor and correct yourself so they dont' have to. I know when i was a Tl i had other things on my mind besides making sure my crew wasn't wearing tongue rings or had belts on. Any way i'll hop off of my soapbox now. I always thought do I look presentable to meet future in-laws and have them think i'm the girl next door.

If you keep your naval hidden it's no problem :) (In other words, follow the dress code and you'll be fine with it in)

Use your brain and be "presentable". If you don't know what that means, quit now and save HR the grief. Guidelines for appearance are provided.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that women being allowed earrings and males not allowed earrings is sexist?

About the tongue rings, as far as grooming guidelines go, my understanding is that you can't have anything in your tongue. I've had mine pierced for three and a half years. I've taken mine out every day I've worked, and never had any problems with it closing. I would suggest just avoiding any problems and leaving it out while you're working. The way I see it, and explained to my crew last year was that it's more a matter of respect. I don't want to have my supervisors or managers (who are also my friends) to have to write me up over something like that. I respect them enough to take the thing out for the 8-16 hours that I'm working that day. That's just my opinion though...

WHOO HOO!!!
I just got my tongue pierced over Spring Break (it'll be 2 months when I get there) so I'm kinda aprehensive (sp?) about taking it out and closing up. If it does, I guess I won't mind too much. Does anyone else think that it will be fine or will it close up? Thanks
