DT

Hello before I start I just want to say sorry for the spelling not to good at it!
Alright does anyone (probly everone) remember the q-line robots, light, and different little thing in the line? I remember it when everthing was still running good and was ship shape! But now everthing is gone or run down and old looking. It made you fell like you were going in to a space station or atleast alittle more exciting then it is now! They still have all the rooms with the huge line that they never use. Well also wondering if they will make this alittle better because the new ride will bring some more people over to that part of the park now.
Yeah, I loved it when it was new because it's special effects worked, and it was one of the only things I could ride since, I wasn't very tall. I loved the robot and screen projection that they had in the room that's seasled off. I also remember a news caster talking about the attack and other stuff. I really like the animated projection of DISpatch mASTER TRANSPORT exploding to for Disaster Transport.

I also liked the little robot that would follow the train in front during the ride, and you can still hear his little voice , "I'm losing control! I'm losing control!" but it's much more quiet now. I had to explain the whole theme to my friends while waiting in line.

Even though the 2nd queue room is used for storing HalloWeekends props, I think that they should clear it out and restore the effects because there are going to be a lot more people in that area, and those that aren't tall enough to ride WT could go over at ride DT. If they restored the effects, the word-of-mouth affects would get more people enthused about the ride.

Yes thats so right. I am such a die-hard DT fan, but I was too young to ever see the "whole ride" but i really wish they would bring back the effects!

I remember the glory days of Disaster Transport.  I liked the robots and other stuff.  I also think that they need to have the robot follow the bobsled through the ride again.
you never know, with WT being right near DT and the increased traffic flow CP managment might be considering re-themin the ride again. We will all see on may 5

Maybe some new themeing is on the way ;)

Fear the Mullet!

I hope they bring back DAVE, he was a robot.
I am all for restoring DT, and with the excessive amount of traffic, predicted of course, as mentioned above would certainly generate much more interest in DT, or so I believe.
Ahh, the days when DT was worth something a little more than it is now.  I too remember the robots, screens, reporter girl in the background, and most recently (due to the loss of) the black lighting.

Okay guys, this might have just passed by some of you, but this is a big hint from someone that's somewhat "in-the-know."

...just pointing that out...

"Well I heard that guys with long signatures are just trying to make up for a shortage in their pants..."
New themeing is definatly needed. One trip to the point last year had me disappointed. Instead of being able to go through the normal waiting lines, they made us skip a few rooms and go through another way. They had put up these green looking walls as an alternative route. It was boring and definatly not a part of the normal wait. I don't know why they did that but it had me confused. Did anyone else experience this last year because I did. I don't know why they did it.
Hold up a minute here.  Is there hope now for DT?  What's going on here?  :-)

I may have some inside pics from 1993 from DT.  I am going to dig through my boxes....I hope I find them.  Those were the glory days.  I remember shooting pictures of the cue.  I can't promise anything.  But I will look.
Look look look, I want pics!
Has anyone tried to contact these people to see if they took construction pics or pictures of the final result?

I think that had somthing to do with the haunted house props they keep there.  Was this near the end of the season?

I would have assumed that too, but it wasn't around Halloweekends because I don't live near Cedar Point. I get to the point about three or four times during the season. I wish I lived near the point and had season passes... :( I live 2 hours away near Detroit. I couldn't make it to Cedar Point for Halloweekends time so I'm 100% confident it was between July 4-August 2... I went three times during last season and that's the only possible time. I just remember that it really sucked and the wait was horrible. For awhile, I thought they might have been fixing up the line area to make it better and they had closed it for awhile. But, to my dissappointment, the next time I made it to the point, the walls were down and the line was still unthemed and long. :( I hope someone else experienced this because I know I'm not crazy. Am I?
No, your not crazy.
Ok this is what they do. For halloweekend that have a hunted house right under the DT. They use about 3 or 4 ride the are normaly in the q-line. But in the normal season the have all 7 or whatever rooms up and u walk in them all.
