Drug Testing

Hi just wondering what kind of drug testing Cedar Point does. Do they take a urine sample or do they do the blood and/or hair samples?? Thanks in advance for the imput.

If you are worried about drug testing CP is not for you.

They do a urine test right off the bat, if your job involvs driving a vehicle of any type, even a tractor or golf cart.

You can be randomly tested at anytime, or right after an accident.

Though I check my restaints on my own, I don't want someone who is stoned double checking my efforts. Please, if you are a ride op, don't toke, snort or do worse while working anywhere, let alone CP. The someone who may get hurt will live with you the rest of your life.

I was in NO way condoning (sp?) the use of any type of "altering" substance during work. I'm just pointing out that its strange how its "okay" to get hammered at a bar before working the following day, but NOT okay to do other things.

Upon processing in, you will have to go to First Aid where they give you a cup and tell you to pee in it. Based on the color, they were determine if you are any kind of drug. If you fail, good chance is you're driving back over the causeway and going home.

They claim to do random testing too, but never did while I was there last year (only for a month and a half), but your best bet is to play it safe and try to stay clean for the summer.

I knew one person who was randomly tested last year.

I never felt under your aim, djDaemon, no harm done.

The random testing is supposedly done throughout the season, but i have not heard of many cases. It does happen though, my roomate last season actually got tested on his process out day. Go Figure?

Now that makes sense. Way to curtail unnecessary spending, Cedar Point! ;)

Color doesnt mean anything about drug use.. means more about your health condition

CP Does do random testing... I saw 2 people lose their job from it in 2002...

Be smart... Whatever you choose to put in your body is your perogative, but at least give it a break while you are at CP...

Especially working rides you have too many peoples lives in your hands.

I swear this topic was brought up just not too long ago.

It happens every year around this time. I really don't know why you would need to ask a question about it though? When you hear “Drug Test”, its pretty straight forward as to knowing what that is all about!

The only ones who question are users, that's why.

Well I know that Mr. Scott. I meant that its dumb to ask questions about a drug test, like you can think of a quick way of getting around it. I also don’t understand why people who do drugs still show up to process in knowing that they will be drug tested. But then again, they are on drugs.

lol i never got tested last year but then again dont u have to be on drug to work games...
