^ Adam might hate me for this one, but I would rather ride Magnum any day over Dragster.
Magnum is the only coaster that I want to ride over and over. I think I could probably spend the entire day on Magnum. I have yet to find someone who likes it as much as me though. My sister, best friend, and fiance will all ride it 2 times in a row tops. :(

I don't hate you for that! That's fine you'd rather ride Magnum over Dragster. I'd rather ride Dragster over Raptor, WT, Mantis, DT, BS, MS, CCMR, WSE, ID, CS, Gemini and in some cases Maverick and Millennium. My absolute limit on Magnum and Raptor is usually 7-10 in a row. After that I start getting headaches. I can ride Millennium for a long time, but after about 12 rides I get a headache and need a break. As for Maverick, I just cant stand the compression on my thighs from the restraint for a long time (when it's a "stay in the trains" ert).
So for whatever reason, Dragster is the only major coaster I can ride all day without getting a single headache. I love Raptor and Magnum, I just can't ride them for very long periods. Hey it happens, everyone has limits.:)
And I wouldn't care if more people go to Magnum on the ride night. Less of a wait at Dragster for me.:)
Though I hope SRC won't be there. I know he will....but I can dream can't I?

Dragster is amazing, my group likes it best so far.Can I make a suggestion that your group try the Magnum XL-200? I think they might appreciate that one a lot as well.
Yes, we did ride Magnum once. I loved the beginning but at the end over the bunny hills the airtime was a little rough. Slammed my thighs into the lapbar and It hurt. I think it may have been the way I was sitting though. But it was still fun, we liked it and will try it again when we go back this week.

^ Where did you sit? Try the middle of the train. In my experience sitting there makes for a smoother ride. As smooth as you can get on Magnum anyway. ;)
Ok, thanks for the advice. :) I believe we were in the second car. Not sure though, but I'll try for the middle next time. It is a little bit of a rough ride, but the first drop especially is totally worth it.

Not to mention how uncomfortable those seats are, especially the raised plastic hump on the seat in between your legs . That is downright painful if you are stuck in the seat during a breakdown, well it is for me anyways.

Hey FLGirl, if you see this, here's my trick for riding Magnum!
After the first drop, hold the lap bar under-handed! That way, during the bunny hills and airtime hills the back of your hands will act as shock absorbers for your thighs! You need to make sure your lap bar is a little loose for your hands to fit (i.e. keep one foot on the elevated floor of the train where the wheel is to help keep the lap bar propped up).
I never have any leg issues this way and can ride in the ejector row (3) for hours with no probs! Of course, you can't ride with your hands up, but if your seat belt is a little loose to boot, it won't matter. Good luck!!
I have rode Magnum front, middle, and back. Back makes for an interesting ride. Front is really fun. I tryed it again last week, and it is pretty nice. It throws you around quite a bit though.
Middle I think is the best for Magnum beginners. My sister and best friend did not like it near the front, but they both loved it in the middle.
While I love Magnum's first drop, I personally wouldn't consider it the best part of the ride. I love the way that you float over the second hill, getting a beautiful view of Lake Erie. And nothing can top the air time from the bunny hills. :)

Well, we did ride it again and I took both suggestions, holding the bar underhanded and sitting in the middle. The underhand sugestion was great, no pain this time! I like the ride but it is a bit too rough for my personal tastes. If it were smooth it would be completely amazing. I know some would probably say that the roughness adds to it, I just tend not to like those rides. (ie, a lot of wooden coasters). I'll still ride it though. Magnum is one of the better coasters at CP, I think.
