Your sister is there, put her on the case.
What is this, National Weird Titled Thread For Nothing Day?Just telling everyone what I heard, stop being a jerk.
To be fair, Mac was not being a jerk, and "Dragster Cable" is a very vague title.
Fair enough. Just glad no one was hurt because the description I got was it sounded pretty scary.

It is easy to see what is plaguing Dragster this year..THE PAINT. When it was first built it was shiny and new and had many many problems. As the years went on ,the paint began to fade and the coaster started becoming more reliable (for the coaster anyway). Breakdowns were less and less and uptimes were increasing, During the off season Cedar Point decided to repaint the coaster into its familiar color scheme and what happens.....deja vu. Downtime increasing, parts breaking and parts flying all over the park. Maybe some coasters should be allowed to fade and run well :)

Thanks, djcarl! I've been searching high and low, and have found very little myself on this....
...and that is exactly what the park would prefer. This incident is similar to the one that happened with Skyhawk a couple years ago. Both involved cables in some way, and both occurred near park close, which was a really good thing for the park.
I'm guessing that part of the park's emergency situation plan is that a ton of security is dispatched to "clear the area". That means get everyone away from the area so they can't take pictures and/or videos. It also would not surprise me if they ran interference on anyone that did happen to get pictures.
