That was the pass that really caught me off guard as well, and I was in the third-to-last row.

Jeff: I believe Michael was talking about your generalization that absolutely NONE of the seasonal employees know what they're talking about.
That being said, however, you kind of got to wonder why a person from traffic was posting that. I mean I'm not saying traffic doesn't know anything about the rides themselves, but they are definately not at the ride or having somebody saying, "You're going to be up next week meet at your ride at such and such time to cycle."
Truth be told, some seasonals (especially since some make friends with maintanance) know just about anything and everything that's wrong with a ride, but they choose not to say something like that on a page like this. Sure enough you'll get one post in and you'll be fired &/or on your final... It's something that CP's kind of anal retentive about... one of the only things they can control, perhaps.
I know that there are some seasonals that have a clue, but those smart enough to really be in the know aren't stupid enough to post what they know here.

exactly.... I knew what was going on the whole time.... but did I post in this topic. Nope. I steered clear of it. Cause it wouldn't be fun losing your bonus. Or your place to stay if you don't have somewhere to go if you get fired. We even got a memo about postin g information on this very website earlier this year and had to sign it. like Jeff always says, those who know don't talk, and those who talk don't know.
Demon Drop 2004
Castaway Bay Lifeguard 04-05
Remember back to WTs opening year, what it ran before the additions to the track. After that they quit launching it as high as it used to, perhaps the change we notice is a return to what it was originally for whatever reason.
It dropped off of the original opening day speed within just a couple of weeks. It was down for an extended period of time pretty early in it's life and that's when the speed dropped. From what I remember, the structural problems had nothing to do with the speed changes, they were all due to trying to conserve the LIMs or something to that effect. Maybe whatever the power company did or CP did during this last fix helped the power situation so they're ramping it up for a full power full season next year! Here's hopin'!

I hate to say this but for some reason I feel like the ride got rougher over the season. I brought this up before but never got anyone else saying it was. Maybe I've been on Raptor, Millennium Force, and Top Thrill Dragster to many times and I'm getting use to the very smooth ride. I find the train on WT rattling a lot on the launch passes. The experience is still the same if not better but something happened with it and I don't like it. I'm not going back this weekend so I hope to see my favorite ride back to its normal self next year.

I remember you bringing up the increased roughness, but I honestly have not noticed it being rougher. Was it very windy during the times you noticed, it is right on the beach.
When I say rougher I really mean more vibration than before. Rough sounds like Mean Streak and Magnum. The towers are smooth as glass still so it can't be wheels. It could have something to do with the LIM and train alignements or the launch track itself. I first noticed the vibrating closing day 2003, I rode the ride in Mid May and Late May this year and got 6 rides on it and it was very nice and smooth. When I went back August 10 was when I noticed alot of extra vibrating than ever before. There was little to no wind when I went last (Sunday, Oct. 24).

I was at the park on the 30 of Oct. WT was running and i belive i saw people on the ride. The only time i rode WT this year was about mid-season and the ride was rough when train was over Lims. "The towers were smooth as glass" like Gomez said. *** Edited 11/1/2004 4:36:57 AM UTC by Ary***
