don't forget etraining people

you can start doin it is simple just go to etraining on the cp page and put in your email and password. it'll save you from the horrific classes-
You can't start till a few weeks before your arrival date. . .as explained in your papers/emails. So if it doesn't work, don't freak out and start posting like crazy men -- that would explain why.

Actually, you can start like two weeks before you have to process in. Cedar Point will email you and inform you with your passworkd, just in case you forgot. So dont panic in case you cant get it to work!

sorry i didnt mean to post twice in a row but i just found my email and this is what it said about e-training.

"For most employees, that is about 4 weeks (28 days). Successful completion of the Internet Training (Company Orientation Training Part I) will reduce your classroom orientation training time by up to two hours."

I thought we could start E-training around April 14th and then we had until we process in to finish it, I could be wrong though.

Just like I said in my prevous post, you can't start until April 30th. I didn't pull that date out of thin air. Its from my e-mail I got:

Take the Internet training anytime between 03/30/2003 and the day that you process-in/arrive at Cedar Point. For most employees, that is about 4 weeks (28 days).

There it is. March 30th!

Those e-mails are sent out based on your starting date. I'm pretty sure you can start before April 30 (or March 30) because mine begins March 15.

Hye guys. I did my e-training the other day. I goes from 30 days to your start date. So i start April 7th, and was allowed to do my e-training on the 10th of this month.

I assumed that date was for everyone sense two friends of mine start May 9th and 17th and their e-training start date is the 30th of March, as where my start date is April 25th. If their e-training date had not been the same as mine, then I wouldnt have thought that!

I know its not the same for everyone now

Last edited by 99er,
it is 28-30 days before you start. okay i will now go back and read my elle magizine.
im guessing it probably just depends on when you process in...considering i process in March 28th, the whole e training April 30th or March 30th for that matter wouldnt work for me....but if i remember correctly, i recieved my email stuff like 2 weeks before i processed in last year..and i processed in March 25th of last yr..so i guess its hard to say...

I took my eTraining test today (did great, I might add ^_^).

Overall, the format and user-friendliness of the site is the same as last year, but several changes have been made which I think are for the better. They did a lot more to recognize the relationships between American and international employees, which I think is really important. They also added definitions you can click on as you read for terms you might be unfamiliar with (for example, "Midway," "Direct deposit," "Guest"), which I think will be especially helpful for the international employees. The only problem I noticed with this is that some words are defined out of context (for example, clicking on "Break" in the phrase "...first and only roller coaster in the world to Break the towering 400-foot milestone" from the Top Thrill Dragster press release will lead you to a definition of "break" as in, taking your break during work. I'm sure all these little things will be caught and corrected as more people take the test. Finally, there was a review section at the end giving you hypothetical work situations where you had to choose the correct response; the topics covered in this section were really relevant to scenarios that the majority of employees might encounter during their jobs at Cedar Point.

It looks like eTraining at CP has really built on the strengths it had last year; I wish more employers would offer a similar program. Good luck to all who are taking their tests in the next few weeks!

one more thing they are based on your original start date, so if your contract was changed like mine was you can expect that it goes off of your original start date, unless you call and get them to change stuff around for you.
