Does the cops actually enforce speeding at CP?!?!?

I was just wondering if the CP cops actually enforce speeding and other traffic laws outside the park?!!

We actually have a Branch of the sandusky police department on site at Cedar Point (Cedar Point Police). They are real cops not just security guards. They can enforce the law on site such as the Dorms, the causway, the parking lot and inside the park. Outside Cedar Point property is just the Sandusky Police Department.

If you get a traffic violation, on/off Point, In/Out of uniform, you will get your tag pulled and it will be given to your managers. Then next day you have to go tell them why you deserve it back.

Thanks for explaining I kinda was wondering since this is gonna be my first year and I tend to speed... alot but do they actually sit around with their radar machines on, I didn't even think I saw one in the windshield? I saw them sitting on the road when I came last year.

Yes, they do, a lot. They love catching CP employees speeding, especially on the Cause Way.

It's probably not a good idea to speed on the Causeway.

I was doing around 50 on the cause way and had a cop pull a u turn and follow me all the way to the employee parking area. He asked me where the fire was and that he should take my tag but told me to slow it down from now on. I believe they are a bit lenient towards employees but don't abuse anything.

HR is still keeping the applications hostage. The managers don't have access to them yet.

It's not like I've ever gotten airtime on the causeway............... or gone drifting around the corners on first at 40 miles an hour....

To be young and incredibly stupid again.

If you want to get airtime, well legally, go ride the Blue Streak.

Yeah I mean always love speeding across that bridge when coming to CP, I get awesome airtime. This past year I saw a car actually hit air and roll over the cable wire and into the brush almost the water by the bridge on the causeway. I hope that kid was ok?! Did anyone else hear or see it?

saw it on the way in,lot of emergency vehicles around it and a tow truck ready. never heard any followup on it.

Just go the speed limit...

People always speed down the causeway, but I've noticed that sandusky tends to pull more people over there than cp police does so you'll just have to watch out

Thanks for the responses. I just tend to speed and not realize it. The speed limit will be 35 and ill be going 60 lol do you or other employees ever "race" across the Causeway in the morning on there way to work?

You can do what you want, speed or race or whatever. However, you have been prewarned that the causeway is at times watched by law enforcement (whether CP or Sandusky). Driving on the causeway is just the same as driving around your hometown. Therefore, IF anything happens on the causeway, please do not "cry wolf".
