Does Frontiertown need to be updated?

You're all talking about making an area look new that is supposed to look like the old west.

I think a small woodie would be cool somewhere back there (I mean in the 100-120 foot range).

It has already been violated with the removal of the tunnel from WWL.

Well, mixing two threads here...

Don't get me wrong, I think Frontier Trail shouldn't change *too* much. It is the perfect spot to catch some shade and calm down from the insane "LOOK AT OUR MASSIVE RIDES!" feel of the rest of the park.

I wouldn't, however, mind seeing a Giant Huss work it's way back in there. Just take a look at some of the theming options they have for ride vehicles and such on their website, and you could easily picture one of those "elbowed" inside the trees of Frontier Trail.

I wouldnt want to see anything done to the Frontier Trail. I like it just the way it is. But they could put in a flat ride or a giant Huss ride, like Gravity, said over by the Gemini bathrooms. And I have always said a nice sized woodie would be great where the bone yard is now. Theres plenty of space there now and they could even cross it over to the island. But for the most part, I like both the Trail and FT the way it is. If they updated FT with rides, it would take away the old west feel.

Adding anythign to Frontier trail woudl almost be sacrilledge. You still feel back in the wilderness as soon as you cross under Millie.

Thats right Virginia, I am Santa Claus.

I think they should put a path somehow leading from the area by dragon & wildcat to the gemini midway. It would save us alot of walking. It should be shady and cool.

If it gets updated it won't be Frontiertown anymore. It's not nearly as authentic as it used to be from what I've seen in pictures.

Where the heck would they even put a new ride? I don't like the idea about moving other rides to make way for new ones. I do agree though a new woodie would be great.

I would like to see some type of interactive super soaker coaster above Thunder Canyon. Can you imagine the people on the coaster spraying the folks in the rafts down below?

That would be pretty cool and liven up the raft ride.

brilliant!

I have just returned from a trip to Disneyworld with my fellow high school band members and something I found about Frontierland at the Magic Kingdom is that its attractions are not high in the actual number of them, but high in theming. Maybe Cedar Point should take its existing attractions in Frontiertown and sharply increase the amount of theming they have instead of adding totally new ones.

Chief Wahoo, that's an awesome idea! That sounds like what CP will have to start doing in the future...intermingle their rides. This is probably one of the more logical ideas for a ride that I've heard.

What is most anticipated event of 2003? the debut of # 16, the release of Metallica's new album, the release of Terminator 3, or the release of Matrix:Reloaded...tough call.

I think they should take out the extra que for Meanstreak and put in a Wild West Movie Ride. Kinda like the Movie Ride @ MGM in Disney. They could go through scenes of big-hit Wild West movies like um, right, yup, big hit Wild West movies.
That definately not going to happen. CP doesn't do simulators. They're strictly an amusement park, not much of a theme park. Thats what sets them apart from a lot of parks.

I know, but Frontiertown was the first themed area. So maybe they could have the first themed ride (which the them links directly to the area)?
CP should theme the mean streak like the Villian at SFWOA. So it looks more "western".
