Do you Know in the future

I dont know if this has been posted yet, if it has sry. As a CP employee do you know in advance what new atractions will be built?

No, seasonal employees may think they know, but they don't.

Nobody knows. Except maybe the higher level employees.

Even though I really doubt it, are there any higher level employees on this site?

Those who tell don't know, and those who know don't tell. (tm)

I can guarantee that you won't get such infromation beforehand. :)

Ditto on what Fastball said. Don't expect to hear anything beforehand.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

I think rumors run more rampent among employees than they do even online, but it is true, management does not officially tell us anything, although I heard rumors for Skyhawk (along with about 10 other rides) circulating as early as July.

Did the rumors involve specific language like "S&S Screamin Swing, Skyhawk, Frontier Town..." things of that nature? I remember spotting the various markings back by CCMR in July.

Almost from the beginning we heard that frontiertown would be the site of the next attraction for CP, but what it would be was largely a mystery. I heard everything from Screamin' Squirrel to Screamin' Swing to different prototype coasters, etc. Probably the only real common part of most of the rumors were that they were all S&S rides.

As for the name Skyhawk, I never heard it until the day of the press release.

Rumors always seem to come out. But you hear so many, it's hard to believe anything. I heard about Maxair in August the year before, and I read about a screamin swing on this site long before the press release.

Y'all ready for some serious sidewindin' in 2007?

Mean Streak 03

Those were the days.

Employees do not get official info, but many of the rumors that float around are based off of some fact. I heard about wwl being torn down mid-season, and that CF was looking at buying Six Flags. But this was something I thought was a rumor before an actual official word was released.

The WWL rumor actually started before the 2004 season even began.

2005/2006: Cedar Point - Millennium Force
2007/2008/2009: Walt Disney World - Magic Kingdom - Tomorrowland Speedway
2008: Hard Rock Park - Maximum RPM! Opening Supervisor
2008/2009: Universal Orlando - Men in Black: Alien Attack Team Leader, Guest Services Coordinator

I only heard the rumors about WWL's removal and the good chance for an S&S Screamin Swing, and those rumors started very early. Looks like those rumors turned out to be true; who comes up with this stuff?

2005 - Magnum XL-200/Camp Snoopy/Monster/Witches Wheel

I personally want the 700 ft. tall B&M that will have 12 inversions that I heard about last year.

I think people start rumors just to see how fast they can get them to spread. Some are more believable than others, but even the believable ones are hard to believe because there are just so many that are floating around you dont know which will end up being real, if any, and which ones are just rumors.

I know that if CP gets a new roller coaster, it will be floorless... with a layout similar to hydra's.

Not a flyer because there capacity is crap, even with dual loading stations, which usually only one is working most of the time anyway.

A woody is a possibility, but not a real option because I'm imagining CP going for a record with there floorless, you can't do that with a woody in the space provided in the WWL area.

I'm hoping to start a rumor before the season even starts :)

I doubt CP will ever add another woody. They just require too much maintenance.

Ok i dont think cedar point will get a floorless not for there next coaster any ways, or the one after that because of the floorless at gl and cedarfair will not want to pull people away from one of there parks being that gl is like a hour away from the point, I and some of the other ride hosts talked about this subject last season and most of us all had a different idea of what the next coster will be but my guess is since that its the last year for kenzel next year at cedarfair that it will most likely be the 500 footer or a B&M with the most inversions and hight or a 4-D coaster. This is just what i think and only the people on top of the cedar point food chain knows for sure and there not talking because thats what there paid for to know and not leak a single word about what it will be.
