How have you determined it is a waste of money?
Cedar Point has plans for that parcel of land. That means that Demon Drop had to be removed.
There are 3 ways to remove it, sell the steel for scrap, sell the ride to someone else, or move it to another park.
They've been trying to sell it for 4 years now. No one has decided to meet their asking price. So that leaves scrap, or moving it. Apparently someone decided they could get more money out of it by having it operate at a new park than to sell it off as scrap.
And now Dorney gets a new ride, that hopefully will receive some sandblasting and fresh paint before it opens.

Dorney = Another park that already has a tower ride. If only it could have been moved to Michigan's Adventure.
Because that would have made sense.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Maybe the ride is stopping at Dorney to be refurbed by the same group that did Possessed ..

Not much of Demon Drop left to see on the Fun Cam.

How disappointing, I thought "The change was a result of the hammering by the LA media, in addition to the frothing at the mouth enthsiasts posting negative opinions on internet message forums, and the fact that it was just a crappy idea."
I should work for PR ;)

Lol
Do they really expect any person with a brain to eat that up? More corporate BS.

You think corporate gives a rat's arse what a handful of diarrhetic, discombobulated enthusiasses think? ;)

I wonder how long it will be until the neighbors by Dorney complain about the noise DD produces. They had to make Talon and Hydra pretty much silent!
A good portion of the noise is from the friction breaks. Didn't someone say they might be changing to magnetic breaks?
