Crazy things you hear while waiting in line...

Main train station; " does the train take us to the front of the park?" "Can you drop of us off at Gemini?" People coming through our exit gates trying to get Millinieum then insisting that that is how they got to it last year! People ask if we are wearing makeup! As water poors out of the water tower after filling the tender people ask is its gasoline to which we respond its rocket fuel! Then we have to explain how steam works.

Frontier town; "does the train go to Soak City?" "Does the train drop you off anyplace else in the park?" Some of these people have just gotten off the train. People will stand in the station for fifteen minutes thinking they are inline for Meanstreak. Or people come up to Meanstreak crossing trying to get on the train even though they just walked past a giant sign that clearly points to the train and to MS. Oh and if you are sitting around MS crossing waiting for friends to get off of MS, don't get mad at us if the whistle scares the crap out you! You have plenty of warning when the gates go and come on it's a train they can be loud!

There are many more!

I have another one. This one wasn't in line though. This happened when we were on Wicked Twister. I was with my sister and her friend. We were seated and waiting for the launch.

It went something like this:
Ride Op:Launching in 3, 2,...
Sister's Friend:What happened to 1?!!!

Have two from this past Friday.

We were waiting in line for Millennium, and I stopped a high school-aged kid from line jumping. About 10 minutes later, we're on the ramp up to the station, and the same kid asks the people behind us "Is this the line for GateKeeper?" (You absolutely can't make something like that up!)

After riding Mean Streak, a big group was talking about where they wanted to go next, and one of the guys yelled out real loud "Let's go ride the Magnum Force!"

Not Cedar point, but I was at Kings island this past Sunday, and was on top Eiffel tower's observation platform at night, this kid says to his dad:

"Hey, look, you can see the beast over there. But it's too dark to see now, I cant see the alligator that's on the track! I don't want him to get hit by the coaster!"

Dad- "Yes, then he will go flying up in the air then!"

My daughter and I heard some sad news while waiting in line for Blue Streak. Apparently Iron Dragon is now also sinking.

Well it does go over water. I guess it couldn't stay floating forever :)

Here is another good one.

Random person: "I can't wait to ride that one racing ride. I have been on it a ton."
Person's Friend: "Gemini?"
Person: "No, the one that goes over the front gate. It has been there for a few years now."
Friend: oh yeah, I like that one too"

It is people like these that hurt my head.

This was technically at soak city, but close enough. So my one friend was pairing with some random guy for a slide (bc we had an odd number) and apparently he pointed to the lake and asked her what lake it was. She gave him the weirdest look and said "...lake Erie." He was obviously NOT from around here.

I guess the GPS never mentioned it to him.

^ Blue streak, no can't mix that up. How about CCMR. No name still ver different. Gemini, this one has to be it. No wait, the only way this is close to Magnum is in relationship to distance. Mean Streak. Yes, this is it, the names start with the same letter. But there is still one problem, but I can't place my finger on it. Oh wait, I remember now, One of them is massive and made of wood while the other one is tall and long while maid of white(?) and red painted meta.

Most of the time we forget that a lot of people visit from out of state just because it sounds like fun. I can't really blame any one for these comments because they were most likely told it by some one else and they don't know any better because they don't feel like finding out for themselves. Some of these are very funny and I wish to hear more and more as the season progresses.

ITS MOLY ORANGE!

I heard the other day in line that there was "Like a 12 hour wait on the yellow spinny one on the beach. It had to be closed because there were to many people waiting for it"
Why does the GP hate the truth?

Leave the hypercoaster alone

Just like people can't handle the real news on tv.

Favorite Wood: 1. Balder (Liseberg), 2. Boulder Dash (Lake Compounce), 3. Voyage (Holiday World), 4. Phoenix (Knoebels) 5. The Beast (Kings Island)

FavoriteSteel:1.Expedition GeForce (Holiday Park) 2. Rita (Alton Towers) 3.Magnum XL-200 (CP) 4. Nemisis (Alton Towers) 5. X (SFMM)

One of the things that always make me cringe is calling the Gemini a wooden roller coaster, when it is not.

One of my kids keeps calling Gemini a wood coaster and the other keeps correcting him.

A little kid maybe 6 or 7 was in line for millennium force with his dad and he said does this coaster have a big drop and the dad said yes a very big one. Why do parents put their 6 year olds on millennium force I think it's crazy lol

I heard plenty of: "hey let's go on that wooden one(Gemini)" "that's a racing WOODEN coaster"
"My favorite coaster is that wooden one(Gemini)" "Gemini has got to be the best wooden roller coaster ever!"

Didn't get the point? Gemini is steel, it's a common mistake though, considering its layout.
My favorite: "of course it's a wooden coaster, how can it not be?

While at Kings Island this weekend my sister and I were waiting for Flight Of Fear and these people behind us were talking about Top Thrill Dragster. They said that it was only like 80 or 90 feet tall. I asked my sister if she could believe what she was hearing. We both just shook our heads at this. Although in their defense, they at least had the speed right when they were talking about it.(They said it went 120 m.p.h)

Yesterday, I heard a guy say that somebody or maybe more than one person had their season passes revoked because they were caught using old Fast Lane wristbands that were taped back together. Don't know if it was true, but it's a good story.

I heard this at Cedar Point last week while walking past Power Tower, "Oh let's go on Tower of Terror!". Its something that I hear at every park and it really annoys me. I mean come on people, you can't read the big sign on the top of the tower that says "Power Tower"?! Or how about the multiple signs on the ground or scattered around the entrance. That one has always annoyed me. And then you always hear someone say something like, "Someone got their legs chopped off on this very ride!" Not too make light of a tragic accident, I just get tired of people thinking it happened at the park their currently in.

By the way; my computer was acting weird so if I posted that several times I do apologize. I think I also posted it on another topic by mistake haha. I hit deleat right after but if its still there let me know; it was on the "Season Pass Holders Appreciation Week" topic.

I was at Cedar Point Thursday and a guy in line behind me for CCMR said that the Segway guy was the "owner of Cedar Point"
