CP to open Johnny Rockets

Another restaurant at Cedar Point where Coke is the franchise's beverage of choice :)

I'm sure this will be a great addition to the Midway given the overwhelming popularity and long lines at Coasters although the Fascination fans will miss their game.

I hope it's not as small as Coasters (or the Johnny Rockets in Strongsville!)

That's another reason I like the Midway Market. Even crowded, there's plenty of room for everyone.

This is kind of useless. They already have a Johnny Rockets style restaurant. I certainly hope it's not run like the one in South Field Michigan. There service is terrible. It took them a half hour just for the hostess to great us.

I will miss fascination. My family actually goes to the park specifically for this game. I guess I will be going to the park alone this year.

We were kind of talking about this at the end of the Facination thread. Based on my Southfield, MI experience, I can say it's neat. It is very similar to the Coasters resturant. It is very 50's ish. I think the Coasters does have hints of the 80's and 90's in it. Johnny Rockets is almost 100% themed. They have .05$ record machines on each table. The do dress in 50's uniforms. The grill is out where you can watch them cook your food (At least in southfield it's that way.) If I recall right, the facination building isn't that big. I wonder if they expanded it at all?

I'm sure will eat there this summer.

Jeff-
Its freaking BS.

I knew about it since closing day, I mentioned it to Pete and Jeff while we were eating but it still didn't seem right. I just really loved the game.

Hopefully they can come up with some sort of redemption plan for people who have saved up a lot of tickets.

Another fine Cedar Point tradition is lost.

I wish I would have known closing day - I would have taken more pictures and played one last game.

I feel the same as I did when it was Mill Race, Pirate Ride, Kid Arthur's Court and Oceana. I don't like it, but I guess change is inevitable. Cedar Point in 1970 was not like Cedar Point in 1990 and Cedar Point in 2000 won't be like Cedar Point in 2020.

Buy a camera and use it, folks. You never know when something might be gone for good.

This is the first time I have ever been disappointed in Cedar Point. I mean this seems like something Six Flags would do. I loved that game it was part of Cedar Point just like the beach, the Breakers, Blue Streak, and Magnum. As a protest I will not eat at the new Johnny Rockets. Not to sound redundant or any thing but this is just stupid, very very stupid.

Remember, line jumping is NOT a sporting event!
I am glad to say that since I had the heads up i filmed my brother and I playing during one of the final weekends.

Gemini your right. I wonder why they wouldn't play up something like that is closing. I know there were a lot of empty seats when I went by it last year. If I knew it was closing I would have played a few more gaames. If everyone had played a few more games it would have stayed. It looks like food is the more popular and economical than facination.
If you look in the "Fascination" thread, I think someone mentioned that they couldn't get replacement parts from the manufacturer. Is that right?

Damn! In all the years that i have been going to Cedar Point, i have never played that game! I was going to try it this year. :(

I was reading the press release on the official website (when the link worked), it said they were having trouble finding parts for it. So it would probably have to go anyway. Even if they were not putting in a Johny Rockets

Yes, another place I can spend tons of $$$$ to eat. I never set foot it Coasters, and It looks like I will never set foot in that building again :(.

They should at least salvage part of it and put it in the arcade.
