Funny, for years CP fans have rubbed it in the faces of others that they had more rollercoasters than anyone on the planet. Now it's 'quality over quantity?' Make up your minds.
How many on this board have actually been to SFMM? I'd venture to say only a few. The rest judge a park by someone elses opinion. That's petty.
Now, I have been to both parks many times, and I have to say, while SOME of SFMM's rides have been excessivley trimmed, the park as a whole is right on par with CP. This whole thing is like a bunch of four-year olds screaming 'My toy's better than yours! Nah-nah-nah-nah-nana.'
What I think is going on here, is that the ego of CP lovers is a little bruised and bloodied by today's monster announcement. Completley understandable. I'm sure SFMM fans will feel it also within the next few years as CP and SFMM duke it out.
My next point. Why whine? We benefit from this battle. Instead of one new ride every two years, we get a new one every year! SFMM and CP need each other to drum up competition, and draw more people into their parks.
Just FYI: Here's the SFMM line-up for 2001:
'X'- Arrow 4D w/ 88 degree drop, 76 mph. 3,600 feet long.
'Deja Vu' - Super Invertigo w/ 90 degree vertical spikes.
'Goliath Jr.' Kiddie coaster modeled after Big 'G'
