I've got to agree with Jeff Y. Not only has bachrodi conducted his argument intelligently, but he's also responded to criticism and suggestions quite well. While I don't agree with some of his assessments or his suggestions, he did provide explanation for why he thought such a way and thought the park could improve. Its a much better job than some people have done when trying to do the same.

I wasn't attacking him. I just don't understand why he would sign up for the CP fan site just to complain. If he was already a member for a bit and then decided to say, "Hey, I was just at CP and this really bothered me..." I would think differently of it. But he signed up for a CP FAN site purposely to tell us all of the things he dislikes about CP. Whatever floats his boat I guess.

You will meet lots of people in life who are not happy unless they are pissed about something. Those are generally the same folks dying of stress related heart problems in their 40's and 50's.
I don't like MTV. But, I haven't joined any MTV fansites in order to bit** and moan about MTV. I mean, really, what is the point?

So he has to be a DK ass-kisser to join up? He can't be a fan of the park otherwise? Usually, people who have criticisms ARE the biggest fans because they aren't blinded by their love of the park. They realize that not everything is perfect and things can be improved.
Are some of his suggestions un-realistic? Yeah.
Does that make him less "worthy" to have joined this site to discuss his ideas with other fans? I guess only if you want everyone to bow down to DK like he's the second coming.

My point exactly Chief. But I guess us complaining about him complaining defeats the purpose. ;) Stress free is the way to be. Jugga, he's not just complaining about one thing, he is complaining about A LOT. But as I said before, whatever floats his boat. It's just my personal opinion. I guess it does make for a good debate.

Attention whore. That is the name I usually give to folks who like to come in specifically for the purpose of "stirring it up". One need not be a DK "a$$ kisser" to join the Buzz forums (unless Jeff and Walt have changed the rules) but I do think it is legitimate to "call out" someone who comes in and immediately starts hammering.
Geez, I think Jeff and I have been some of the more vocal folks to call for the end of the Kinzel regime. And, for me that doesn't require any second guessing. My guess is that is a little more of a tightrope for Jeff to walk since he does want to maintain a positive relationship with the park in order to keep his site relevant.
When I'm invited to someone's house for the first time, I don't go in and immediately start criticizing their decor, their food, etc. Frankly, I find that unbecoming.

MTV sucks! :)
And I'm not a fan of the regime at the top, or the food pricing. Or the food quality. Or the food service.

Chief, I've never had a problem when people come in and start "hammering" right away - provided that their arguments are thought-based. There's a difference between making an intelligent argument and coming in and "hammering" - and I don't think this thread was about hammering, personaly. I don't think that there's any sort or protocol or "trial run" time period that you have to have before you're allowed to come in and point out what flaws (in your opinion) the park had.
Jugga's right. Sometimes people can't see flaws because they love the park too much - I know that I was that way in the early 2000s.
If you don't agree with his arguments, fine. Have a discussion and help him see "the light." But coming in and telling someone that they haven't "earned" the right to have negative opinions doesn't seem right either. Besides, we are a community - we should be welcoming in someone who wants to contribute to the discussion.

There aren't many people in here that remember records Jeff.
Jeff Y...I can live with your opinion on the matter. Perhaps I was premature in my "attention whore" labeling.

Does anyone remember the McDonalds give-away in the late 80's/early 90's when they gave away records that would tell you if you were a winner? I think my mom still has a stack of 45's somewhere, or at least I don't remember her getting rid of them.

I do remember those records! I still have a few, along with my records from Showbiz Pizza (before it was Chuck E' Cheese).
Didn't those McDonald's ones have the Big Mac song on them?

Yes, I actually still purchase records that are still made to this day.
As for the complaining, I only complain about Walmart, ha.

Indy's back and just in time.
Maverick is a crazy unique coaster. Who would have thought 105 feet could have been so fun.
You can't deny that.
Factory - stop trying to keep this thread on track. That's no fun. ;)
And don't even get me started on some of the SQL queries I've written. Nested select statements suck.
