Countdown Lights

Originally I think they were suppose to have 2 countdown lights on every catwalk but the very lowest one. That equals 12 lights. (6 catwalks + 2 lights a piece) But, when I was at the park and had a close up view of the tower, on the catwalks they had openings for the lights and they only had those openings on the top 4 catwalks. Also on the christmas tree at the launch there is only 4 lights down. Those two scenarios both come together so I think there will only be 8 lights.

Just another side note, Did anyone that was at the park notice if the lights are operational also??

I have a question. I haven't seen the lights operating yet, but I was wondering what sequence the lights are in. Do the three orange lights light up individualy, then the green light comes on? Or do the three orange lights come on at the same time, then the green light, as in real drag racing?

Egg nog... how'd they think that up?
"I want to get a little drunk... but I also want some pankcakes."

The three orange lights come on one at a time and then the green one lights up and then it launches.

They come up individually, but they do it very quickly. It is just one light right after another.
Are the tower lights working yet?

I have a question about riding Dragster at night. Is the entire tower left dark except for the countdown lights, or are there other lights that also light up the tower?
As far as I know the lights aren't working yet. When I went on TTD (5/23) it was night and the lights at the base of the tower that shin up the tower are always on. I didn't really like it because on the drop the lights shined in my eyes and kept me from seeing anything on the drop. Does anyone know if when they install the lights that if during the countdown the lights shining on the tower will turn off or will they stay on? Or if when the train is on the top hat will the lights be off or on? For my second question, I doubt (sp?) they will because for people watching it won't be able to see it but I would like them off while riding.

<Edit> I just took a quick look at the Station Cam and I saw all the countdown lights lit up. I tried to save it but the Cam reloaded. Did anyone else see it and save it?

I had brought that up earlier...So I dont know why.

The most logical reason would probably be because the small tree on the ground has only 4 main signal lights and 2 ready lights. So i guess they decided to only put the signal lights on the tower.

Are the lights supposed to be : (top to bottom) 2 yellow, 2 yellow, 2 yellow, then 1 yellow and 1 green? It doesn't match the tree on the ground.
Just got back from my 6th ride on TTD.. still amazing.. Yes the lights are working now.. very fast and pretty bright.. I do think somone messed up somewhere as the bottom left one is yellow. I think it should be green.. But I may be wrong as well... it looks great though..

TTD=6. MF=77. Raptor 100+ Magnum. 250+ lost count.

Ya, the lights started working after the ride opened up from an extended breakdown. Also the smoe is now working, but when it works seems to be completly random. Sometimes the smoke would go right before a train launched, 10 seconds before a launch, right after a launch, and 10 seconds after a launch.

yes the lights now work although they are very weird, there are7 yellow and one green, the green light is on the lowest lit catwalk and goes off about one second after the yellow one right next to it,shouldnt there be 2 greens instead of 1 or was it always planned like that

I really like the lights on the tower because now you can see when the ride is going to launch from the que since the wall blocks it most of the time. Its really nice when you see it after dark since i got on the last ride of the night! =)

The lights next to the launch track, the "christmas tree" count down a lot faster than I thought they would. Almost TOO Fast...
That's about how fast normal dragster light trees fire.
