In total theory (ignoring physical and software safeguards), yes, they could crank up the LIMs and launch a train into the lake. In reality, no, it's totally impossible. I read recently that NASA is experiementing wtih LIMs to launch spacecraft instead of using a fueled rocket launch. Now that would be a wicked ride!
