The catchy theme song your refering to is the "Hold On" campaign for 2001..Been seeing it like every other commercial here in Mid Michigan tonight on TV...I'm ready to ride!

Notice that all the riders did hold on. I think "Hold on" is CP's slogan.

Also, CP still claims they have the MOST COASTERS. They probably will still at least be in a tie until The Mountain finally builds theirs.

Well by the time SFMM has "X" built, CP may have their next coaster up and running... :o)

Cedar Point is still claiming the record on the comercial

You are the Weakest Link, Goodbye.
Last night I saw the CP and SFblahblahblah comercials back to back...it was funny
Truly, they do have the most until all the coasters at SFMM are up and running. Some park officials say X will open somewhere around September. By the time it actually opens, Cedar Point will be in the Bonus and HalloWeekends so it really doesn't matter.
Hey... Nothing special really but today was just a nice CP day for me I guess. First I got my brochure in the mail today it is pretty cool. Second I was watching the news and they showed a CP video and pretty much talked about how they expect attendance to go up this year and finally I saw the "Hold On!" commercial right after the news on attendance. I like the way they did the commercial in a SONG! :)
I saw the commercial finally tonite too, and I live in Cleveland. I was watchin Nick@Nite and it was on there...I accidentally knocked my girlfriend off the couch to the floor and didn't acknowledge her until the commercial was over. oops. Hey! I got my brochure today too...its about time!

Newt....

We will be visiting you on July 8th and we will certainly visit the artic exhibit and try to say Hi :-)
Ive seen both of those comm. and i would have to say that the cp commercial sold me more than the sfwoa one. It just seemed like CP showed more in there commercial. In the SF commercial they only showed two coasters. If i didnt live anywhere near these two parks, i would definately say that the cp commercial would grab my attention more. Although i didnt really care about the point of the commercials, i just watched them to see the parks and the coasters and could really care less about everything else in them. But i guess i dont really have to worry about not living close to either park.

CP in 2002, get to the point
I personally dont like the CP commercial...while I see how it how it appeals to the whole family, the background theme music has got to go...it seems campy for some reason....I would think that some chemical brothers in the background would liven it up a good deal.
in the 15 minutes of sitting here scrolling thru this forum, ive heard the SF commercial 5 times already... they are really pushing the "mega passes" right now (maybe because this area is only 45 minutes away?) but its sickening.
hey, here's the commercial thread. I saw the "Hold On" spot last night here in Cincy. I think it was on a Dayton station, though. Not sure.

Hi, my name is Josh and I'm addicted to Cedar Point.
I have seen the new CP commercial here in Detroit but only once. It is very different from CP's previous ones. I have seen the SFWoA commercials this year alone many more times than I have ever seen CP commercials.

BUT...still my friends and relatives have not heard about SFWoA and do not know much about it(other than what I tell them!). Everyone I know and talk is planning on going to CP this year at least for a day. I don't think these promos will damage CP's attendance verses SFWoA's.

People all across the country have heard of Cedar Point, and growing number of people in the Midwest are annually making trips to Sandusky.
