Yeah, 430am is really early, but I'll be there!!!

Why not just plan on meeting up at lunch? That's the most logcal time/place ;)

I'm up for a get together. I will be a single person, I would enjoy tagging along with a couple people if you don't mind. I'll probably be getting a hotel room Thursday night so I don't have to be driving at 3:30am

Hey BGRooDoG, you are welcome to tag with us if you can't find anyone else. As far as the gathering goes, we can all just meet at the Coastermania lunch as well with all of the other enthusiast that are there. We will be there Thursday til Saturday.

Well, it looks like we can't make it the w/e of the 9th as planned, soooo our next trip is bumped to the next w/e...Coaster Mania. I am not looking forward to the massive crowds, but at least I can say hi to a few of you around the park. I'll have my button on; don't know if I'll wear the PointBuzz shirt again or not.

are the lines usually very long for the ert?

I plan on attending as well and I've never been to Coastermania before. From my understanding, there could be quite a few coaster nuts there due to the opening of a new coaster at CP this year. I am also curious what to expect in terms of lines during ERT. :)

I haven't been to Coastermania for a couple of years, but I would expect there to be a pretty big crowd this year with a new coaster opening, so I would expect there to be fairly long lines.

Lines for MF might not be as long since it share ERT time with Maverick. And the night ERT depends on if Magnum is running more than one train by that time.

Well, I be there for CM on the 15th. Looking forward to riding Maverick!

I've been the last 3 years and have not experienced any wait longer than 15-20 minutes TOPS during ERT. Last year TTD was part of the morning ERT and I got 7 rides in and 11 on Raptor all before 9 am.!

That sounds good Schureman. Hopefully it will be the same this year too! :)

I went in 2003. Dragster was supposed to have the morning ERT, but it never opened all day. So they opened Millennium instead. It had about an hour wait.

The eveneing ERT was better. Magnum had about a 15 minute wait. Near the end of the ERT, Twister was a walk on.

Edit: Supposidly there was record setting crowds that year, with Dragster opening and all.

I will be there the 14th and 15th for my second Coastermania. I'm looking forward to a lot of nighttime rides on TTD as I love looking out at the park from 420 ft when its all lit up at night. Usually, based on experience from previous events, as nighttime ERT draws near the end, people begin to leave and the rides are a walk-on for the last 15 or 20 minutes.

The discussion on a gathering seems to have died out. I'm debating between two different days, and would like to factor in a Pointbuzz gathering at Coastermaina.

Loopy, ERT on Raptor too?! That's Excellent! :)
