Clubs/Bars in Sandusky?

Hello everyone,

I'm visiting the Point from San Diego towards the end of May/beginning of June. My friends and I were curious if there are any bars/clubs in the area that are worth going to. We've heard that Club-X is gay-friendly and that Monday night is popular for Cedar Point Employees (who are gay) to visit. If anyone can confirm this, that would be great. You can respond to this topic or leave a private message if that's more comfortable.

Thanks,
Kyle

That is correct. I've personally never been there but I know a lot of people who have. Monday nights is the popular time to go. They actually have a mini school bus to transport people to and from Cedar Point's employee housing.

The Good Ol Club X!!!!!!!!

Saying that X is "gay-friendly" is an understatement.

Matt B is right. While Club X is classified as a gay bar, it is for everyone, gay and straight. Cedar Point night is Monday nights, and everyone goes and has a great time. Its just a popular hang out spot for the cp crowd! There are lots of straight employees who hang out there too just to meet people and have fun! Thats what I love about the atmosphere there, its so friendly and understanding!

Never heard of it, but I will stick to Club X, and the mini bus there was some great memories on that bus....

"Thirsty Pony -- A Fun Place to Eat and Drink!"

at least... that's what THEY say.

Do they have any female impersonators there? Like a show or anything?

You mean like drag queens? Yep. My friend actually did a show there once this summer...

So I wasn't imagining? It actually is called the Thirsty Pony?

Mondays and Thursdays are typically the busiest nights at Club X in the summertime.

Monday is "CP Employee Night" and Thursday usually has strippers, drag queens or some type of stage show.

Mailbox Night is the BEST!! Junior high'ish at best- you wear a number to your shirt and if someone likes you...they can leave a message for you on a bulletin board and the DJ will announce it. Unfortunately, my number has very rarely been called...but such is life. It's still a good time, especially with some drinks. :)

Yes, it's called the Thristy Pony.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

While we're talking about bars & clubs, are we forgetting about LOUIE'S???? It may be a dive bar, but it is possible THE unoffical CP crew hangout.
