Religious views or not, when a chain decides to make a point they better be ready for the feedback. CF will earn MUCH respect from me if they decided that they no longer want to associate themselves with Chick-Fil-A. Cedar Point is a place for fun and to make money that is it. Having a business there that not only alienates a portion of the cleintele but went out of their way to oppress them, takes away from the fun atmosphere. It could be as simple as walking past the place and not ordering food from there but it is more than that. I hope this is true and Chick-Fil-A is gone for good from CP but also that it is just removed quietly and replaced with something else. No need for another ridiculous religiously fueled arguement on this.
If you want to start looking at every business relationship Cedar Fair has to determine how much you are willing to support them then you better be prepared for a long exercise. Merchandies and games alone would likely open up a can of worms with manufacturing conditions in China, Taiwan, etc.

There's been a Starbucks inside Donut Time for years.
No, they sell Starbucks coffee, which doesn't make it a Starbucks. My former employer had machines in the kitchens that served the coffee, but it didn't mean they had the full product line and branding that made it a Starbucks.
I would be all for a Chipotle, provided it had at least two or three production lines. And honestly, nine bucks for a burrito would be fine compared to a lot of the crap found elsewhere in the park.

Chipotle would be superb. King's Island had a Chipotlesque food stand at the park this year. IIRC, it was in the old Bubba Gumps. I had it on my one and only trip in the spring and thought it was pretty good. Nothing compared to Chipotle though.

The building being renovated does not mean CFA is being removed. The park does like to update the park from time to time so I would look at is as nothing more than that.
While this is true, ChickFilA was built with Maverick in 2007. The building might have been there before (not sure) but the inside is relatively new. Why would they need to update it already? There are plenty of older buildings that could use the renovations before Chick's building.
Let's Get Weird.
The building has been there since Frontier Town opened in 1967. It was originally the Chicken Plantation. It would be cool if it reverted to it's roots with a bit of modernization. In other words: Mrs. Knotts Chicken Plantation. :-)

We had a discussion about Chick-Fil-A and how their views work inside an amusement park a few months back. I think its a really good idea for Cedar Point to distance themselves from such a company and it appears that they are doing it just like I hoped they would.. no need for a big announcement or argument just wait the season out quietly move another restaurant into the building. We wont know for sure till we see what the building is going to look like. and/or a sign on the building.

As Jason said, the building has been there for a long time now. I don't recall much of a renovation from when it sold pizza to CFA. Regardless, something could have happened that warranted the renovation.
