If I remember right, last year some of the shoulder bars were coming apart. I did not notice that this year so I think this is the cp one. I like the ride a lot and don't want it to go.

Ah, that first link got eaten by Jeff's naughty words filter. First time I have run into that one! But then it is a site that I seldom ever visit. Let me try this again...Not as good of a photo, and I don't know where this one was taken, but this is also an earlier version of the Chaos, same version that MiAdv had.

I believe that is the Chaos at Valleyfair. The green in the background looks like the Wild Thing.
"Water will be involved." MrScott 2006
^Wasn't Valleyfair's Chaos put in the same year as CP's.
*Warning the following is 100% speculation, based on a peice of info I heard from an employee at another CF park, this info that I heard is not proven fact*
I heard that CP will be moving some children rides to -insert CF park here- to make room for an attraction. So this is my stretch to this: Maybe CP will be downsizing or getting rid of Camp Snoopy to make room for the Island Project. I was thinking maybe CP is selling Chaos and demolishing the food stand in order to move Woodstock Express into Planet Snoopy.

^ - possible, but don't forget that there is a collection of kiddie rides between maXair and Colisseum Arcade. This would also be right next to where Chaos sits. So it wouldn't be too surprising to see another HUSS giant go in in that area.
This is rather sad, as I enjoy Chaos, but with the manual release and at times only 1 operator, I think Chaos has outlived itself. I'll miss it, but hopefully something better will go in its place.
Goodbye MrScott
John
Yeah, I can't imagine the relatively new Camp Snoopy would be stripped so soon. Given the supposed lack of DT maintenance over the years, combined with the Chaos sale, perhaps John is right.

^ I think they would get rid or downsize kiddy kingdom before camp snoopy. I like Camp snoopy alot more than planet snoopy because it has alot better theming & Kiddy Kingdoms stuff is old. The only park with no kid theming at all is Valleyfair. Camp snoopy could be slightly downsized, they could use a kid coaster in the front. They would probaly move woodstock to Chaos and move some of the Kiddy Kingdom rides to Valley Fair. The only rides i could see being moved around or even out of the park from Camp snoopy are: Tiltawhirl, Balloon ride, & lolly swings because they don't go with the theming except the balloons, they already have them in front of the park.
Point Person, what park was this?

^^I don't understand what you are saying. How would DT's theming disaster have to do with Chaos being sold? DT and Chaos are pretty far apart. And how would DT's mintenance have to do with a Huss replacing Chaos?
^I was told by a Kings Island employee that CP will be moving some of the "Kids Ride(s)" down to KI and other parks in the chain to make room for an upcoming attraction at CP. I really don't understand why KI needs more Kids rides since they have the huge Nick area. The only thing I was thing is maybe CP will be moving some of the Snoopy "theming down there". As you said Valleyfair would be a good place for some children's rides to go.

DT and Chaos and Demon Drop aren't close enough to eachother to make a connection to their downfalls? Uh, not for a roller coaster. The removal of all three, along with some of the employee lot, storage area, etc., would make perfect room for an outstanding [GCI or GG] coaster. Demon Drop could serve as the station while DT would hold not only the lift and drop but a very twisted section on the return run as well. Perhaps Chaos occupies the area of a dip a coaster could take. Truthfully, I feel Cedar Point just doesn't want to deal with Chaos anymore. After the MIA accident, Cedar Point is too skeptical about the same happening and doesn't want to take the chance of anything hurting their nearly perfect safety record (aside from the metal shards sprayed at riders on TTD, and the love tap between two Magnum trains, the last major accident happened on Raptor when an older gentleman died of a stroke its opening year)
And the idea of moving Camp Snoopy rides to other parks for the Island Project makes perfect sense. That would explain why Cedar Point revamped Planet Snoopy while there was already a decent kiddie area in the park.
Wooden coaster to the Oceana Midway and a record-smashing water ride to the Island/Gemini Midway.
^ So does that mean you are going with a two huge new rides in two consecutive years theory? I for one do not see that happening, maybe a couple years ago, but not now.
As for the kids area theory, it seems very possible, but that would be a massive amount of movement going on.
R.I.P. Mr. Scott
Never said that. Demon Drop has been up for sale for probably five years now. Clearly they are in no rush to move those rides. Because the Chaos listing states an availability of November 2 means nothing. That just means Cedar Point is unwilling to give it to you until at least the season's over. And I would not be surprised to see other rides and attractions in the other see a similar fate, one being the stadium. Sure, the BMX show is new. That's just to hold them over to keep from having a huge empty eyesore for a couple years. How about Ocean Motion? Do most guests who don't frequent the park that often even know that ride exists? Besides, why ride that when maXair is just a hop skip and jump away, and Skyhawk is around as well?
I just don't get why they would want to get rid of camp snoopy! It has really good theming and there would be nothing good for kids in the back of the park to do. Is there any small space that could be used to hold camp snoopy in Frontier Town? The only big enough place would probaly be where the anti I think it would have been smart if they would put it on the Frontier Trail. They don't really need three car rides in one park!
Pepsi Refresh is saving one coaster at a time: http://pep.si/bTTsfc
They have 5 car rides in the park if you count the 2 monster truck rides in the kids areas. I always wondered why they don't take out one of the antique cars for a new ride.
Between camp snoopy and planet snoopy, they have a few duplicate rides that could move on to other parks.
If camp snoopy rides go over by the chaos area, that would give quite a bit of room across from the clearing to put in a decent sized ride.If they took out the cars by skyhawk , moved skyhawk and got rid of snake river falls they would have a lot of room for a huge ride with a possible splashdown right next to maverick!! I know it's a bit far fetched but could work. Take a look at a map and think about it.
The more I look at it, it would work great. I am calling my shot that the new ride will go right where I say it will
I know a lot of people have brought up Snake River Falls' removal, but I think otherwise. SRF is still one of the best Shoot-The-Chutes, with one of the biggest waves and one of the best soak factors. Not many others get you as wet as SRF does, both on the ride and off.

This would be one very odd layout for a coaster. Take a look at a map of CP, I can see a coaster maybe being placed where Demon Drop and DT (some employee lot) are now but look to the left of DT you have a Huss giant frisbee named MaXair and a double twisting impulse named Wicked Twister. Inorder for a coaster to make it to Chaos's location would meen the coaster would start near Demon Drop go out and back from DT make a turn around where J. Rockets is, go over Kiddie Kingdom, travel along the arcade, turn around at Chaos and head back. This sounds like a strang layout and would be very dificult to design. The only way I see this coaster to work if the removed Kiddie Kingdom (which doesn't sound like a bad idea).

Perhaps this is trickier to explain than I though. Imagine a station where DD is now, with the train running towards the parking lot. After dispatch, the train would turn around and follow a Raven/Legend-esque length pre-lift towards the game area. The lift would follow along the games area towards the DT area and Lake Erie. The apex of the hill and drop would be in the far east end of the DT area, or maybe even the beach. The ride would continue to travel along behind the back of WT turning around in the location of Ocean Motion, and through where the Stadium is. It would cross over the midway, dip at Chaos, cross over the midway again back towards Troika/DT. If the Space Spiral sticks around, an awesome helix may go around it. From here, the Space Spiral and the path of DD make a straight line, but some airtime hills might be a nice filler. Troika, Ocean Motion, etc., may be moved to the Camp Snoopy area that was cleaned out.
thefejman- why would they want to move skyhawk? It fits perfectly with the frontier theming and it would probaly be costly and hard to move.
jloash- why would they want to move troika again? They just move it a few years ago!
Can they put anything in the middle of Mean Streaks quene? It would be nice to put somthing close to mean streak because it is sord of lonely. As for the Wicked Twister Area, they could move or sell Space Spiral, obviously tear down Disaster Transport, downsize Kiddy Kingdom, and move the food stands by space spiral. Over the years it is easy to tell that they obviously have been trying to fix up the Space spiral/ Oceana Area. It would have been the best about 6 or 7 years ago to totaly redo that area. The Space spiral spot is my least favorite spot in the park!
Pepsi Refresh is saving one coaster at a time: http://pep.si/bTTsfc
Maybe they have a plan for a new ride to fill the spot! Just a thought!
