Chaos Gone for Good

Mna my sons loved that ride! They were sad to hear that itis gone!

The hole that chaos once lived, is now full of dirt.I find it kinda weird that they are just filling the hole in with dirt, and not removing the cement.

I doubt that we would get a new thrill ride this late in the winter, but it's not out of the question. Leaving the area empty however, would not help the push to make that area more vibrant.

Are there any rides being removed from other cedar fair parks that may find cp as it's new home?

The only ride removed this year was Jet Stream from Canadas Wonderland, which is up for sale online. All of Geauga Lake rides are gone except the Black Squid (most likely scrapped). I can't really think of anything else out there.

Eventually I could see the park taking out Kiddy Kingdom, and possibly expand Planet Snoopy towards Chaos's location with a kids coaster or something.

The only other ride that is being removed/ relocated from a cedarfair park is invertigo at CGA. I don't think that a boomerang coaster will end up at cedarpoint though.

Why does another ride have to be placed there? I say move the 3-Point Challenge from the Demon Drop midway over to that spot.

^ That is also a good idea. I think that midway (Planet Snoopy to the kids dodgems) could use a good refresh. The buildings and the midway just is very dated and boring. I wonder if the Windseeker and new gate area will be in pavers.

I say it's a sure bet.

What I heard was that after being sent to Kings Dominion, it was determined it wasn't in good enough shape to reuse and ended up being scrapped.

Take a look at this. To me, it looks like Chaos is indeed being replaced with the 3-Point Challenge. OM takes up its old spot.

They need to put the corn hole game that a games manager proposed in 2010 in their first year on the job. Now that was a great idea and something a little different but wildly popular in Ohio.

What is the 3 point challenge? I've never been to CP before, but we are going this summer!!

3 point challenge is a basketball game where the player try's making threes from three locations around the court in a certain amount of time.

That's the 3 Point Challenge located by Maverick in the back of the park.

You get 4 ball at each of 3 locations. The 4th ball at each location is worth 2 points. With a maximum score of 15, the high each day is probably not much more than 8. With the average person scoring few if any points. It's not easy. I think you get 40 seconds to shoot all 12 balls.

We watched a young gentleman play the one in Frontier Town last summer. He played well. Won three jerseys while we watched. Nicest thing we saw all summer, he walked up to a developmentally disabled young lady and gave her a LeBron James jersey he had won while playing. One of the nicest things we saw at the Point all summer.

Didn't Lebron only make one when he played? Or was that the 3 point shoot out game?
