Chaos Gone for Good

pointperson's avatar

It seems everything Chaos has vanished from Cedar Point's website. Nothing on the Thrill Rides page or the Height Guide. Plus the winter tour pictures that crazyhorse posted recently and the sale posting earlier this year. I think Chaos has officially been removed from the park.

It's sad to see it go; it was a very fun ride. But I understand that it wasn't the best machine to take care of and I guess the Cost per Rider just didn't work out.

If it is gone, I wonder what will fill it's spot?

The only sign of the ride was the control panal and the background lights. The ride was totaly gone. I did not even see it in the parking lot.

The only place I could find it on the website, was on the park map here...

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I really don't know what could fill its spot but I hope that the area (Planet Snoopy to Wicked Twister) get some updating and freshening up. I could possibly see a coaster coming to Planet Snoopy eventually.

Maybe the 3-Point Challenge from the Demon Drop site? The move would make sense to me.

The park map hasn't been updated for the 2011 season yet. As soon as they post the new version, it'll probably vanish from that as well.

With the state of disassemblyTroika was in, I'd venture a gues that it might be relocated there.

^It wasn't for a refurb? I don't think it has had one since it was moved last. Plus I don't see a benefit in moving it now.

Chaos may be replaced with some type of "Windseeker stand" of some sort.

That sucks, first Demon Drop, then Ocean Motion (but that was moved to the front from what I read, so I'm not too upset about that). Now Chaos. I only rode Chaos a few times, it broke down a lot when I was at the Point 2 years ago. I guess it might have been either too old or it just wasn't wanted.

I love the idea of the 3 Point Shootout game being moved there. The one back in Frontier Town gets a lot of recognition from what I've seen, but the one by Demon Drop's old location is hidden and it wasn't very recognizable even when DD was there!

Chaos was a fun ride, but if you like diving head-first at the ground, there's an even better ride already in Challenge Park. :)

Yes Chaos is gone for good. I have some information on it. Nothing too much though

So, you bring this old post up with no new information at all. Thanks a lot, for the new info and for bringing this post up again. I mean we all know Chaos is gone.....

I think that with OM going to DD's old site they should keep 3 point challenge where it is at now. People are more likely to come through that back path upon entering or exiting OM and it is more likely to be seen. You might have the same case of moving it because of WS coming in. But, I personally think that it would be slightly crowded in that spot if it were to be put at chaoses old spot.

Even when Demon Drop was there (which is arguably more popular than Ocean Motion in any location) the game didn't see much action. Rideman made a really good point in an opinion piece on here about the game being a lost chance to print money because its so tucked away.

In Defense of the current location of 3 point challenge, the crowds around the game in the back get pretty hefty. So having it tucked away from the main park entrance may not be a bad idea.

Either put 3 Point Shoot Out there or get a Huss Top Spin :)

Ugh. Top Spins are so 1995.

That would be removing one maintenance nightmare for another to take its place.
