If it is anything like Diamondback's (which it will be), the nearby seagulls will be noisier than the lift.

Are X-Flight's and Wild Eagles anti-rollbacks/chain lift relatively quiet? It seems like it to me, but I've never been on either of them.

Loudest Anit-rollback for me ever was X-Flight at Geauga Lake. They actually gave me a headache and could not even talk to the person next to me. Also the fact that our heads and ears were very close to them did not help at all with the strange position we were in going up the lift. I have never been on Firehawk at Kings Island so dont know if the system was changed or not.
Firehawk is EXTREMELY loud. I HATE it. I was right next to a dog under the train when I rode it. :(

Think of the Phantom's Revenge in two train operation mode. Slow lift until the other train pulls into the station than speeds up.
Same with Millie

Wild Eagle's lift was quiet.

Wow people (some) conversations are for the line...just sayin. I rather enjoy the noise, something different to let me know I am in my Happy Place! Oh try living with 2 teenage daughters and 1 twenty-something daughter. You will learn to love a chain lift - anti roll back coaster sound!
Magnum's is cool, but can be obnoxious when you're walking back/forth to the park from Camper Village or Soak City.
Gatekeeper's will be very quiet, if X-Flight is any indication.
For me, nothing beats the sound of anti-rollbacks on a woodie, like Beast or Mean Streak.
On the topic of noise...thoughts on them filling the supports with sand/other materials to dull the typical "roar" of a B&M?
(been a LONG time since I posted on here..so long that I think my old account was eliminated. Had to create a new one.)
This coaster is shaping up to be quite the creation. Hopefully '13 will see my return to the point since my job has loosened its noose around my neck. :)

Firehawk is really loud too. Nighthawk at Carowinds is quite though.

ChrisC, I am 100% positive that Nighthawk at Carowinds is a Vekoma as well as Firehawk
It doesn't sound right when one uses the words "Cedar Point" and "Vekoma" in the same sentence...Unless they're saying "Cedar Point should never consider putting in a Vekoma" (and most likely won't ever be considered).

CP needs a Vekoma
What the heck is wrong with you? :)

Vekoma SLC 689m model. ;)
Cedar Point already has a Vekoma, Woodstock Express. That's probably as far as Cedar Point will go with them. Although, a larger Steel lasso (Frontier City) coaster looks interesting. I could see World's of Fun getting a large(custom) model of that.
