Actually, the place is WAY much more fun with gay roommates. When someone implies the abject nature of having a gay roommate at Cedars, I feel obligated to remind everyone (especially Marco) that, regardless of sexuality, a sleazy person is a sleazy person.

The "power shower" existed, but only among couples who did so with consent. It was not an orgy and it was not public insofar as it was done in a closed off shower stall. The fact that the Cedars' shower room is communal makes this practice repugnant, but not because of homosexuality. Rather, having sex in a public place (and this includes the commons bathrooms too) in and of itself is irresponsible. STIs should not be taken lightly.

Cedars was bug-infested, hot and smelly. These abominations are why I hated the place.

The shower room was consistently dirty. This had nothing to do with the soi-disant "power shower."

Several homosexual men live in Cedars. People seem to forget several straight men do too. I find it specious to assume that the building is a dilapidated hellhole and unsuitable to live in because gay people live there. I also question people who call the place "sweedars" to make fun of the clientele when more gay people live in Commons. Why don't you rename Commons "Cum-ons?"

Blue Streak Adam was correct in highlighting the spurious nature of rumors running rampant about Cedars.

Many homosexual people post here. I take offense when people can't talk about Cedars without knocking gay employees.

Wow, what a plethora of big words. I have a myriad of them in my vocabularly but choose not to inundate the teeming millions.

Vitaminized- First off I know you are gay, second I don’t have a problem with anyone’s sexual orientation.

The showers in Cedars where probably the most disgusting thing I have ever seen!! People would cut little eye holes in the shower curtains. I have seen human fecal matter left on the shower floors before. Friends of mine have had dimes dropped on them by the person next to them. The showers are foul, I only used them twice. Then I went out and sat on the bench next to the pay phones at the marina until I got the code for those bathrooms. It only took about 15 min but you have to keep getting new ones because they change them every three weeks or so.

I would never want a gay roommate that I had to share the bedroom with. The last thing I want to come home to after a 14 hr day is a couple of batty boys giving it to each other!! My roommates where cool so I didn’t have worry about my stuff getting stolen or any of them getting laid when I am trying to sleep. One was Islamic and never drank or even went to a bar before. The other one was British and never got a woman to give him the time of day. They where both great people but I never really had to deal with them, I would go to work at 6am and come home at 12pm so they where always asleep.

Oh, so being gay means that you just bang other men in your spare time? That's a pretty stupid thing to say. Obviously your hetero roommates liked women, but somehow they weren't getting any.

It amazes me how some people think that gay = gay sex 24/7.

Me too.

I couldn't do 24 hour gay sex even if I wanted to, especially working up at the point. I am sure that a supervisor would eventually have stopped me because the guests would have been scared.

Don't know if they still do but, the supervisors in Accommodations used to get their own rooms in the hotel. Now, they didn't have a bathroom and the a/c wasn't reliable but having your own room at Cedar Point is living large!

Wow, you're roomates go to sleep at 12 pm? Noon is pretty early for sleep isn't it? Man, you have good work hours, 6 hours, and then to bed. Unless you meant 12 AM : )
