Is the boat house always open for showering?

...I don't understand why people are so afraid of homosexuals... like marco... they are people just like you, not horny sex machines that want to get it on with every guy (or girl, as the case might be, though not in the cedars) on earth.

Just like I don't go jumping every girl I see, neither do gay men to guys. *sigh*... people need to relax about the whole thing...

The marina showers by Dave's BBQ are meant for marina customers to use, that's why they have a coded lock on the door. I know I would not be pleased waiting to take a shower because they are being used by employees. Not after paying the seasonal or transient prices CP charges for dockage.

What you have to do is use the pay phone for awhile and after 30 minutes you can either see the code entered or someone will repeat it out loud. They change codes every few weeks so you have to stay on top of it, this was not a problem for me because I had to use the pay phones to call home anyway plus here was a group of us Seattle folk that where all in on it. We never interfered with customers taking showers because the showers where never full. Jaxon-Have you every showered in the Cedars showers? If you have you would know what I am talking about, here is quote from a previous post describing the conditions

I have seen human fecal matter left on the shower floors before. Friends of mine have had dimes dropped on them by the person next to them. The showers are foul, I only used them twice. Then I went out and sat on the bench next to the pay phones at the marina until I got the code for those bathrooms. It only took about 15 min but you have to keep getting new ones because they change them every three weeks or so.”

BTW droping of the dime is so that one person bends over to pick it up while the other one, well you get the idea.

Jezz Marco, you certainly set a good example of an employee with a "customer first" attitude. If they wanted the employees to use the showers they would have given you the code, that way you wouldn't have to sneak around to gain entry.

Are you sure you can guarantee that the showers will never be full after you start taking yours? I don't think so. Even if the showers are not full, unauthorized use certainly doesn't help with keeping them clean and neat for the marina dockers who are authorized to use them. Your attitude stinks!

what you're talking about is RAPE... and I'll say it again... GAY PEOPLE ONLY DIFFER FROM STRAIGHT PEOPLE IN THEIR SEXUAL PREFERENCE - they control themselves around the same sex just as you would around the opposite sex. (OK, and sometimes their mannerisms, but they aren't going to go around raping people in the showers...)

You are right I care more about myself than random people who would wonder into my restaurant; of course I treated them like gold because I wanted and got large amounts of their money. In that respect I am no different than CP or any other company.

Yes I can give a 110% guarantee that the showers where never full when I was using them. They have stall doors like toilets so you know if the one next to you is occupied plus I normally used them around 5:00-6:00am.

Yes but I don’t due to my nice hot showers everyday, something that cannot be said for the majority of the CP work force.

anywho... if my shower had human fecal matter on it, I'd get a pair of gloves and clean it up, cuz that's the kind of person I am. I'm used to staying in less than perfect conditions, I've done drum corps, and I live in a college dorm right now.

I don't know how someone who has such an immature, selfish attitude ever got hired at cedar point... grow up, clean your shower, and start doing your job (unless you weren't allowed or chose not to return to Cedar Point, which would definately improve the park...)

I WILL be using them for three months - five, infact. And I WOULD clean them if they were that dirty because I wouldn't want to use a dirty shower like that for five months. I don't know why you think you're the special one who gets to use the guest showers, and I also can't figure out why you still think you're the right one here...

I'm sure the showers ARE disgusting... so why didn't you do something about it rather than waste other people's time by sneaking off to the guest showers? Why do you have to be so immature about the potential for homosexuals to be using the same facilities as you? *sidenote* I believe the number is 10% of humans are gay, bi, lesian, etc.... so if you think about it, you've probably passed/talked to/been friends with more than a few of them, and have YOU ever been sexuall assaulted by one? didn't think so...

You are wrong once again Skippy. I was harassed repeatedly at CP many times by supervisors. People would also peep through the shower curtain holes. Now if I walked into gold and was checking out chicks shower I would be arrested but it is ok for men the obviously peep through holes in the shower curtains while they “stimulate” themselves leaving their DNA on the tile for you to step in as long as long as they are gay. Once I say something like I don’t like to have people rub one off 2ft away I am suddenly a bigot? Marco

I'm as straight as an arrow and I lived in Cedars for four months in '99. I didn't have a single problem with anyone, and I certainly never felt as though I was in any danger of being violated. Regarding the cleanliness issue, I actually found the bathrooms/showers cleaner than those in the Commons dorm I lived in the following year.
