Or why not just eat the pizza in the park?:)
To their credit, the new pizza the park introduced last year was pretty awesome. Not Chet and Matt's awesome, but still many times better than what they had previously. Although the two times last year I purchased a slice, it took me so long to get through the 3-4 person deep line that I probably would have saved time by driving to C&M.
Interesting. Perhaps I'd have been willing to try the new pizza if less than 90% of the food I've purchased over the last few years wasn't overpriced and nearly inedible.

If your talking about the Pizza in the Chuck Wagon, I agree that it was quite good.

I don't think I'd have it in me to lick the gemini. Lord knows who's been on it, and what has gone down in those seats.

Thank you Jason for the Pictures. It's crazy seeing all the trains in pieces and off the tracks, but as we all know, all the trains will be back on by March.
By the way would you happen to know if they're tearing down East of Chicago Pizza building? Just curious.
I'd imagine they would renovate the existing building.
I remember when Hardee's opened there and later Coasters Midway Grill, with all of the pictures on the wall of the park's rides. It was generally a ghost town whenever we visited (compared to how busy McDonald's usually was across the street). Coasters was kind of fun because you could get fresh-cut fries like in the park.

Yeah thanks for sharing those great pictures Jason. :)

There's a job posting for a manager of the Dairy Queen on the official site:

I assume this is still referring to the former East of Chicago location on the Causeway and not one on the peninsula somewhere. Does the park still own the land and building from the Hardee's/Coasters days?
"Thank the Phoenicians!"
As of several years ago I know they still owned the land. I'm not sure if it's changed since then.
I'm surprised nobody has pointed out a posting for what sounds like Tony's old job (Interactive Marketing) on the year-round employment page.
The park owns the land. I asked Bryan. IIRC, Bryan said applications for Tony's position are being accepted through the end of the year.

I wish they would move the truck and the Christmas tree. Then we can see how good they are doing with the New Thrill Ride 2011; "WINDSEEKER"
They don't need to move that stuff to be able to see that there isn't much to see.
It's going to be a while with nothing more than trucks and workers on screen, then in a day or two they'll add a big giant pole to the middle of the shot, and then it'll be nothing but workers and trucks again. It's not like a coaster where there is a rather drawn out construction process.

Makes me wonder why the camera wasn't installed on the stadium or Space Spiral (even though I probably already know the answer has something to do with so-called those locations' "impracticality").
