Cedar Point Wedding Packages

Nothing else in the area, but around places I've been stationed, cost of admission. Saw a bachlor party at SFFT while I was down at Texas..One of my favorite days in the park, they were incredibly fun to be around lol.

My point is that CP is pricing appropriately based on supply and demand. No one else offers what they have, so might as well price it accordingly.

Not to talk up my photographer's artistic skill and great use of photoshop/filters, but if we were to go during operating hours and get a few good pics as people were walking by in the background, we wouldn't be disappointed since he can blur them out with us being the main focus. Luckily we all have season passes so we won't have to worry about paying for admission.

What surprises me is that after looking through their policies, I wasn't able to find anything that prohibits bringing a professional photographer in to take pictures of you or your group. I'm sure they reserve the right to bounce you if you're interfering with crowd movement and so on, but no explicit rules otherwise.

Thank you for that revelation sir, I had no idea that two things with completely different criteria and definitions are actually two different things.

My point is, if you pay for a ticket for a human, and that human decided to do nothing all day but carry a nice camera around and take pictures of people in his group, the park is ok with that.

I recommended this 20 years ago and it fell on old, deaf ears. They ignored 20 years of easy revenue and only now have finally come around. Cutting edge I tell ya, cutting edge.

I like the Ideal what Cedar Point has offered it means the parks is expanding new ways to make money, that is what they are in the business for ...............

This is an interesting topic because we are getting married next month and had to go through some pretty high Cedar Fair execs to get an answer to our request. We will be going to the park after our wedding next month to ride MF in our wedding attire. We don't want any special recognition and fully expect to pay for admission, wait in line and of course, be able to safely ride and comply with all rules. My question to CP was if this scenario was possible. Would someone stop us at the gate or deny us riding MF? It took months to get an answer, but after a personal phone call from Matt LaRissia (Director of Admissions, Guest Services and Park Services for all of Cedar Fair), he said Cedar Point cannot stop up from entering the park in our wedding attire and only the ride operators can deny us riding if they feel it is unsafe. So we will be riding that day!

Also interesting is that Cedar Point's website no longer offers the $500 photography escort package. Clearly they didn't have the legal right to do this as someone else suggested in an earlier post.

Sometimes parks have rules about weird apparel (or "costumes") and I would suspect that bride and groom apparel might count. I'm a little bit surprised that CP said ok, but if they did then go for it. It would be SO much fun to be in line and see such a sight. Expect a lot of attention, but what a memory you'll have, after all.

To the bride: wear a mermaid sillouette. :-)

It never occurred to me to ask the park for permission to ride a coaster in wedding apparel. We just walked right on in the park with our season passes after our reception, got old time photos taken and wandered the park while we waited for them to develop. We got a bit antsy and rode Gemini. I held my tea length gown in a bunch with one hand and held on to my veil in the other to make sure it didn't fly off. We don't have any pics of the ride :( We did receive a nice bit of welcome back applause when our train came in.

The "no formal wear" rule is in effect at Disney. When we got married down there a few years back they made sure that we knew we would not be allowed in the park and instructed us to let our guests know the formal wear rules as well. They do not want an adult guest in a wedding dress or other formal wear to be mistaken for a face character (a princess or prince charming, etc). Remember the story about the old man who was pretending to be Santa Clause in the park, same reasoning. I expect there would be an exception made for the halloween parties and Star Wars weekends when adults in costume are allowed. An amusement park like Cedar Point doesnt have the same concerns.

I don't see these packages on the website, so must not be offered anymore.

There was a wedding taking place on the beach over Memorial weekend (Sunday I believe).

Through hotel breakers you can setup wedding ceremonies/reception. Not sure if you can get married on TTD anymore or not. But I'd imagine for the right amount of $ they'll accommodate your wishes.

Yeah the website page has been pulled. Maybe they had a general lack of interest?
