That they are essentailly wiping the slate clean on such a large amount of land is the most exciting change during my lifetime, in my opinion. Lots of possibilities.
I agree. Cedars WILL fall, along with its parking area. I believe Turnpike Cars will follow, along with the Dodge-Ems. Calypso should be moved to the new Gemini Midway and be restored, it would fit in perfectly! The road will be shifted, and the sky is the limit on possibilities. New midway, new coasters, dark ride, age and weight guess booths, lockers, vending machines, Basketball winning games, the works! Plus, hardly any trees to remove!
Seriously though, it opens up great possibilities, starting 2 or 3 years down the road.
But PLEASE, do NOT put an open air venue along the lake! It would be completely useless on early and late season days, and the view of the lake is a distraction from the shows, not an enhancement. I know the people who live inland are enamored by the view of water, but this is right next door to a working marina. Plus, if you extend the park all the way to the lake, where exactly would the road be relocated to?
Please I hope they do not remove Dodge-ems or calypso! Dodge-ems are one od the few rides that families can ride together. Big no-no on that one. Also, the park has enough basketball games, 3 actually. I hope they dont put another one in......
I wouldn't worry, I have no reason to believe those rides are slated for removal from the park all together. Much more likely to be relocated.
I don't mean to break up the guessing game here, but does anyone have a screen shot from earlier today of what the demolition progress looks like for Good Bye Theatre?
I don't have a screenshot, but it appeared as though the majority of the wall that was along the pre show area, as well as the wall facing the bay were gone

You'd be able to view it during your break.....if you had a smart phone. ;)

He does have a smart phone now. I don't even know if CP's crappy mobile website would even work with the webcams.

Oh, good. So then he can see them whenever. And this may not be the case for everyone but if it directs you to the mobile version when using your mobile browser, just hit "full site" on the top right corner and it'll go to the regular version. From there, you just do what you normally do to get to the webcams.
Easy. :)

Yes, you could do that but I don't like doing it. It doesn't work how it should. I think CP's website is outdated and could use a refresh. It should be built with a responsive layout so that it will adapt to whatever screen size you're using without the need for a separate, limited mobile site.

Perhaps, perhaps. But the point remains, they're still very much accessible. :)

Frankly I rock a Galaxy Note 3 which has enough space to work with normal webpages. I get sick of sites redirecting me to mobile versions but rather than kvetch I manned-up and loaded the browser I need to view sites, including flash content, without having to deal with "responsive" issues and mobile drivel.

Well I discovered that I can only view still images on my phone for the Webcam. Oh well, and Fudge!
What type of phone/OS and browser are you using?
The Dolphin browser for Android can manage the webcams, but you'll pay a price in data unless you have WiFi.

Wow! Not much left now. About 75% gone including all of the sides and seats with most of the main theater roof barely holding on. Just a lot of vertical support beams holding it up. Looks weird with flat ground and with the bulldozers inside the main theater. Check it out:

Half the roof is gone this morning. I wish Tony would move the camera just a bit so we could see better.
